I think you can get away with it. Good luck and have fun! :)

Hmm. Most of the YA female magazines available in HK are all imports from China and Japan, but I guess you can include them there. Elle China, Cosmopolitan China, Little Thing Magazine, SCawaii HK, Popteen HK, um.. I can't remember any more, sorry! I stopped buying them because I couldn't understand them. haha!

Hi there! That's so exciting! SCAD HK is such an amazing school and i'm really glad you're checking it out :)
Portfolios are always a tricky thing--I only really understood what I had to complete after studying a year at SCAD. From what I learned, it's always good to focus on what you do best, because they focus on quality over quantity. For the medium/s used, they don't need to see a variety of work unless they are all consistently strong. In fact, one of my friends who got a full scholarship only submitted a short film. For content, I understand that they appreciate good conceptual and personal work. Reproductions of paintings/drawings/portraits are good for showing off technical skills, but they value work that has more of your unique visual narrative. In that case, try to steer away from commercial work (unless it has a good concept and/or idea behind it.) Regardless, it's always best to have fresh eyes assess your work to see if it represents your strongest work.
Since they are an art institution, there is a greater focus on having a strong portfolio. However, having high grades will be to your advantage, especially with bigger scholarships.
I hope I was able to help! Do introduce yourself next time, since I don't think it's really necessary to be anonymous with this question. haha -
only if there is proper credit! what for though? just asking out of curiosity, haha

It was during one of my first carpool days when I went inside my carpool mate's house to use the bathroom. I saw him eating breakfast, and he smiled at me. I got really kilig. I then proceeded to smile every time I saw him in mass--which was pretty much every single week. I was 5.

I've never gone! haha

mm... shorts may be pushing it, but you can try! trust me, it's pretty cold. hahaha

Tons! You can check out Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung, Shek O beach, Lo So Shing beach in Lamma Island, and Stanley Beach. It still might be slightly chilly, but nothing you can't handle!

HK is still relatively chilly in march so while you can wear sleeveless, it will probably be around the same weather as Baguio on a cold day. I'd opt to bring a light sweater and a scarf (or buy a cheap one here) just in case :)

Hi Mikli!
So sorry I got back to you late, I haven't been checking my formspring lately. You can definitely check out Cameracart Studios at Maginhawa St, Teachers Village. It's only 300php/hr so you'll have tons of fun.
However, i'm really happy with Daylight Studios in Cubao X. My good friend Gabby owns the place so if she's there, I'm sure she'd be more than happy to assist you with camera stuff. It's about 400php/hr and the place is also a dance studio. I personally prefer this studio because it's so chill, and I love the brick walls!
As for tips.. really, just tinker with all the lights and play with your shutter speed and aperture! If you have any specific questions though, i'd love to help you out. Just let me know what you want to do.
Hope you're doing great! :) -
it's by me so i love it! haha

Yeah, they do! good luck with your prints :)
-
yeah, tons! you can try Freeform in Katipunan, or Lord's in Teacher's Village. There are more I think but you can check there :)
-
