If you choose to take it as an excuse, go ahead. I've explained before this whole drifting, avoiding thing already. If you don't fall into any of those categories mentioned before, then you can take that excuse and understand it as truth.

I really take this as a compliment. You must be very patient, because I know that I can be beyond complicated sometimes. Wanting what comes along with that description shows character.

I love you is only a phrase. It's the sound of your voice, the connotation in the situation, and the words that you can interchange with it that matter.
But I use it because I don't know how to say something fabulous in any other way. It's a way to say "I miss you like no other," or "I'm sorry, but I only do it because I care," or even "This moment wouldn't be as great without you." -

Yes&No. It depends on what you want/need out of a girlfriend.
I can be clingy at times but distant at others.
I can be dependent when I shouldn't be and independent when you don't want me to be.
I'm close to a lot of guys, but I'm faithful none the less.
I like to argue if it has to do with what I believe in.
I'm forgetful, but I will remember the things that hurt.
I'll make fun of you, only because I make fun of everyone I love and care about.
I go all out for holidays, birthdays, and monthaversaries.

If you feel like you're drifting, then talk to me about it. Sometimes I'm just busy with life.
I will admit though, I do drift purposely. If you talk to me, I'm also willing to tell you the reasons why I am. Maybe then we can come to a conclusion on how to keep our friendship alive. On top of that, if I feel like I've put too much fight into saving a burdened relationship, I give up and leave it be till the other person makes an equal effort.
I won't look for you. I may think our friendship is just fine. But if I haven't given up yet, I do work to the best of my abilities to accomodate the friendships I have. I just don't know how to balance my focus. -
