Absolutely, 100% yes. Stem cell research, whether people like it or not, is the way of the future.
In very brief terms, stem cells self replicate and have the ability to differentiate into different types of cells with the proper stimulation, meaning that they can be used to grow different muscle and nerve tissues, which can in turn be used to replace diseased or dying muscle and nerve tissue.
This eliminates the often dangerous process of using a donor tissue, which needs to first be tested for compatibility.
Stem cells are used currently in bone marrow transplants for leukemia patients, and have the potential to treat other diseases, as diverse as cancer to skin grafts.
As stem cell research has not been funded up until very recently, the scope of stem cell treatments is still very hard to imagine.
Now that the field is receiving funding and recognition, some huge leaps in medicine are about to be made. Mark my words. -
To answer the first part of your question, I'd have to examine the long history of taboo surrounding women's reproductive organs, and how as a species humans seem to be fascinated with things that are considered socially unacceptable conversation topics.
Aaaaaand, I abandoned that part of my educational pursuits a long time ago.

Yes and no.
I believe that everyone is superficial, to some extent. We're all guilty of being shallow sometimes. However, I try my hardest not to judge people on first impressions and to give others the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has a story to tell, and life experiences affect people in different ways, so it is far from my place to sit in judgement. -
All of the awesome people I've met through the site. I have been lucky enough of meet some of my very best friends in the whole entire world through SG, and I wouldn't trade the experiences we've had for anything in the whole entire world.
It's also really nice to be a part of such an open minded and creative community. I've had the opportunity to work with some fantastically creative minds and produce something that other people seem to appreciate. It's been rewarding and exciting all at the same time. -

Really? Truth? I just really fucking love bats. They're rad. They communicate through SONAR CLICKING. Bad. Ass.
The Count on Sesame Street was always my favourite, because he had bats as pets. We had a bat house (no no, not a bird house. A mo'fucking bat house) at my cottage when I was little. Bats lived there and it was amazing.
And, the bat cave at the ROM is my favourite place in the whole museum. Apparently they've updated it. I haven't been.
...we should go.
Aaaand, to answer the second part of your question...I have to hot myself up. It's a long and tedious process, but damn I'd look like an ugmo next to my supercrazyhotbffs *cough* you *cough*. -
Definitely my mom. Between inpatient programs and severe depression when I was a teenager, I put her through a whole bunch of turmoil that part of me wishes I could take back. The other part of me knows that getting through all the rough times together is testament to how strong our relationship really is.

On me, I'm really in love with my Alice in Wonderland sleeve that's in the works. I think it's going to look really rad when it's all done.
In terms of piercings, I used to have a bunch that I retired in the past couple years. I'm a big fan of stretched ears, and microdermals. -
My formal background (and passion) is in biology and life science, with a specific focus on genetics. Nothing more exciting for me than the way living things work (and pass on heritable traits!) :)

Absolutely not. I took ballet for 7 years, and I tried reeeeeaaaaally hard. They told me it would be best if I found "another activity that would better fit with my skills". Ballet-school dropout. Womp womp.

I can't believe I've not told you this story?!
For the longest time I wanted to be a veterinarian. I love animals, and I love science, so it seemed like a good fit even back then. That aspiration stayed strong until my dog, Tavi, died. I was so distraught that I decided I couldn't be responsible for the lives of someone else's pet. I don't think, even now, that all the good feelings that come out of helping sick animals could overcome having to deal with the deaths of others.
