I do recommend this kind of transparency, actually. If you intend to continue performing for a long time, it will become increasingly difficult to seperate your "performance persona" from your real personality, especially online, especially if you don't want to have 2 profiles on every site (your "real" profile and your "performer" profile, one of which will naturally suffer because you're more interested in maintaining the other).
But it's also important to remember that, as a performer, you are actually selling yourself as a product. You can't get around it, so how you represent yourself can affect your hire-ability - for better or worse. Some folks in power may respond very positively to something you post, and some may respond very poorly to the exact same post.
It's definitely subjective - most corporate entities couldn't care less about a post I make that asks local performers to up the bar, consider politics, or stop asking for applause - but other local producers might care very much, or even be offended! -
I love sweet things! Definitely a sweet junkie!

I try to establish expectations first, and I'm direct about what is considered "pulling their weight." If you are a leader, you can not let your fear of confrontation stop you from confronting people - so if something isn't working, it's important that you tell people in a respectful way, meaning that you are taking their needs into consideration, instead of just tryanically trying to get your way. Communication is critical, and there's no reason to unnecessarily hurt people in your pursuit of improving your troupe or your solo career.

I have a lot of favorites, actually. Sofi Minx's recent act "Glitter in the Air" actually made me sob like a baby. But one of the concepts that I think is most brilliant is Wham Bam Pam's "Pantymime" act. Also, anything by April O'Peel.

If anything, Vaudezilla has been seeing more people at our shows, but the Chicago community has gone through a lot of transition in the last 18 months, with several troupes bidding farwell, and several new troupes popping up...so it's hard to say!

Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do. I would send a polite note informing them of the similarity, and then keep on moving. Unfortunately, even with the internet, a lot of people don't do the necessary research or just take the attitude that it doesn't matter if there's a similar show already.
It's important to remember that not everyone is working with a Community in mind, there a fair share of people who just want to cash in on it, and some people don't intuitively understand that copying ideas, names, music, etc really hurts other people.
It's frustrating, so find someone to vent to (who isn't in the community) and dig deeper for future shows. Set a good example, and make sure to be vocal about your opinion on how things should be done so that newbies in the community understand what is standard. -

sexually, i really like boys, and i'm mostly indifferent to girls. friendship wise, i really like girls, and i'm mostly indifferent to guys.
how do you feel (i'm guessing predictable!) about a girl-boy-boy situation involving crossed swords, lots of boy-boy moaning at eachother and maybe a few sloppy wet boy-boy kisses? i like that idea.
