Hmm. Sorry about that - no way to get around it. Cmd-Opt-Click was the easiest, least-used key combination when I did a survey among users, so I appropriated it for the Quay app popup.
But. For the Finder, specifically, Cmd-Opt-Clicking on the desktop itself seems to do what you want... -
Of course. Just click on the "email" button on my website (upper left)...

You don't see it because it's not my product. Renaud Boisjoly is the author., check the product page at http://www.lagentesoft.com/batchmod/index.html

Hi Alan. As I posted, the adapter from Pial reverses the non-ground pins, which _may_ harm older appliances, or things like UPSs, which depend on the neutral output being in the correct position. Other adapters seem to work fine. A rule of thumb: if you look into the Brazilian side, consider the line between the two outer pins. If the center pin is on one side of this line, and the center pin on the US side is on the other side, the adapter should be OK.
And of course this is valid for 110/127V only. For 220V all adapters are OK, as there's no neutral. -
Right, that's what I did. Will try to find your email and tell you the details.

XRay works well only up to 10.4. You didn't say which version you use, but creator codes have no effect from 10.6 or 10.7 on up, anyway. There's no way to set "kind" directly; this is set indirectly, mostly by the file extension. Type codes are used only if there's no extension at all, and will be obsolete soon, too. Email me if you need more details.

If you literally mean a badge, as a small overlay over the original icon, the Finder may still support 'badg' resources. Check out http://www.cocoabuilder.com/archive/cocoa/309347-finder-integration.html and the links in that.

I'm not using it myself, but a few friends are trying to do that. As soon as I get feedback from them (and finish my current app for review) I'll write it up.

It should work (it does here!) but try dragging the item while holding down the Option key - this passes all mouse events directly to the Dock.

I do see that sometimes myself, but found no clue to it yet, sorry. In Console.app (All Messages), can you see a message like "QuayMenu: Tap timed out after 6.13575 secs! Reenabling"?

Please email me directly with more details. In principle, this means the bundle was modified after signing.

Yes, will try to do it as soon as a reasonably stable beta comes out... but 10.8 is more strict about background processes. Which features do you use?
-
The non-lite version will include that and several other checks, but I still have to get the lite version onto the App Store first. That said, I'm unsure whether a non-browser app would be vulnerable just by using Java.
