oh haha gluck!! i understand it doesn't oxidise on everybody so i hope you get a good colour match !! (: oh if u manage to try the pro lumiere let me know how you like it ^^ i don't want to go to the counter cos i always feel super obliged to buy haha i only go if i know i want to buy but i don't really wanna buy it now? haha i don' even make sense to myself anw \(^_^)/ happy days, i luv chanel makeup, happy for you!!

oh im so glad :) usually i'm not really good at expressing myself and i tend to ramble so people don't really get the true gist of what i'm saying, but yay!

don't get me wrong i really like the vitalumiere AQUA (not the normal vitalumiere ^^ there's a vitalumiere foundation which comes in the standard glass bottle, and a vitalumiere aqua which comes in a plastic squeezy bottle. the aqua is waterbased and more moisturising :] ) i love the texture and the finish and how easy it is to apply, but it just oxidised like crazy on me, i was literally BROWN haha. if i could persuade myself to part with the money i would definitely get it in a lighter shade so that when it oxidised it would match me :S

i also have the mat lumiere but i don't really have any opinions on that that i can recall haha. i rmb the finish was quite nice but it turned brown on me + i bought the vitalumiere aqua not long after so i didn't really use it much... but i rmb it had the most shitty crappy dispenser ever it would clog up and u had to clear it with a pin but if you didn't clear it properly and pressed to dispense the pressure would cause the foundation to squirt all over. i ruined a brand new top because the oil stains left discoloured patches on it i really was not plsed.

i also have the vitalumiere POWDER which is the current powder that i use which i love. super soft, finely milled and it looks beautiful on. and it doesn't oxidise on me which is a major plus point i took a big risk with it it definitely wasn't cheap especially not from singapore haha. i don't even look at face powders anymore because i'm very satisfied with it. oil control is so-so but not a major problem :) hth!

      haha there are right!!

hmm i usually move past the very useless reviews: i usually avoid the VERY EXTREME kinds because the best reviews are objective not like 'i hate this product it's the worst/best thing in the world when i put it on i'm so pretty' i'm like why are you pretty? does it give a nice glow/finish or do you just like your face...... Also once the person starts whining about the price (in the '£15 is too expensive kind of way' where it's basically just whining about the price of the product unjustified as compared to the '£15 is not worth it for what you get way' which is more about the value) i usually just move on because the really good reviewers have the sense to move past this cos they know that sometimes you simply have to pay more, i also skip those who say 'i just bought this yesterday / a week ago' because that's too short to get a good review. i also skip over the people with bad english lol i'm sorry if this sounds elitist but if their english is crap in my mind they are 1) some 15yo kid trying to be a youtube guru or 2) too inexperiencedto be well informed.

past that, i like to go through reviews by people w the same skin as me (normal, warm skin or brown hair, sometimes they'll even put their mac colour which is great), i like to look at reviews that say ' i wore this out for a whole day' as compared to the 'i just tried it on and it feels gr8' kind, i like balanced reviews that describe application etc, i like reviews that are extremely objective like 'this is bad on me because i have oily skin'. or 'i don't like this because i have dry skin and this makes me look oily' not those like 'THIS MAKES ME LOOK SO OILY'.

but overall i just try to get a general feel of the product la. a high rating will usually prompt me to buy it but i generally keep an open mind because everything will work differently on me. like the chanel vitalumiere aqua had a 4.0 rating and i bought it but it oxidised crazily on me. so you never really know i guess haha

      hope that helps :)

    6. Rachel Tang

hello! i haven't actually :( have you, do you like it? i've read very mixed reviews!

    7. Rachel Tang

      hello!! omg makeup question (hugs)

haha i actually have only two benefit products iirc, the benefit oxygen wow foundation and the benetint which was a gift from my best friend haha. i really like the benefit foundation but wrt to the benetint, im... okay with it. i think the finish is nice (great for the no makeup makeup look), but i find it too troublesome to apply and i have to think too much about it because if you don't blend it fast enough the stain will be uneven? :/

but wrt to watt's up and girl meets pearl
      watts up : http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=145726/Watt-s-Up!/BeneFit/Highlighters
      GMP: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=136638/Girl-Meets-Pearl/BeneFit/Highlighters

lots of reviews there for you!!
i think benefit products are quite gimmicky actually... always find myself being drawn to other brands instead. but regardless, hope i've helped :) :)

battleship with my boyfee. it was a great show and i miss my boyfriend :(

    11. Rachel Tang

as in sometimes i find if i don't properly line the edges it tends to edge away from my cuticles? but yup shld apply it over wet polish!! i'm guessing you're not the same person as the other girl but yup isn't SV awsm :)

    12. Rachel Tang

OMG HELLO hahaha i just fell asleep in the library and woke up *waves excitedly*. i have no office clothes whatsoever so i just plan to get an army of white shirts, cigarette pants. maybe a pencil skirt, a pair of comfortable heels and a black bag!! super boring but mindless so i can just chiong out of the house in the morning without worrying what to wear! and law firms cannot go wrong with white and black everyday haha maybe get a nice bracelet to accessorise or sth idk. does that sound okay to you? btw you are v sweet for trying to cheer me up :) maybe i'll get a green shirt to spice things up hahahah i told my friend this and she just stared at me judgingly and told me she's starting to doubt my fashion sense sobx.

    13. Rachel Tang

lol actually for sv you're supposed to apply it when the nail polish is wet actually

"Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat should be applied thickly.

Get a nice bead on the end of the brush
Set down softly on the first nail painted, watching how Seche Vite flows over the wet nail lacquer without dragging or streaking the underlying manicure

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat 15ml dries nail polish in seconds by penetrating through wet varnish to the base coat, and forming a single hard layer."

altho sometimes if you don't apply it properly it will shrink and won't cover the whole nail when it dries if you know what i mean. i've had no problems w the brush getting stained haha. tart deco looks reaaaalllyyyy pretty lmk how it goes i think i would want to get it...

nailtek foundation ii by far. i used to have really bad peeling nails that would break everytime i came back to the uk (because of the weather) but it's been 4 weeks now and they haven't broken and a really healthy and strong, and the peeling is not so bad anymore! i use it more for the strenthening purposes than the prevent-my-nails-from-staining purposes but i guess it's good too cos nail polish can weaken ur nails if u don't protect it haha. although not a v good judgment cos before i only used sally hansen and some cheap daiso one, so i can only compare between those but i really hated the sally hansen one.

    16. Rachel Tang

yes coral!! i've been OBSESSED with trying to find the perfect coral colour haha i feel like it's my nail colour for summer haha. i just googled lilacism and it looks absolutely gorgeous!! what a pretty pastel purple haha oh no now you make me want to sit here and google swatches but i have work to do sob. i just bought a few butter london nail polishes but i'll definitely check the essie ones out next, thanks for the rec :) if you find a good coral pls let me know!! i really want to try out the OPI DD now but i have 2 more bottles of SV to go through so i'll wait a while because my SV dries really fast and the shine is lovely also haha do you think SV + OPI DD = superfast.....?

i never had opi drip dry but i had the sally hansen drip dry equivalent but i really disliked it cos it left my hands really oily... but maybe i will try opi drip dry because i have heard good things about it, thanks!!! but do try seche vite if you want to cos the gloss and the easiness is really unparalleled haha.

i haven't tried essie nail polishes though because i can't seem to find colours that i liked and those that i did the reviews weren't great! do you have any specific colours to recommend? irdk what to try haha i'm the kind who once i have a bad experience i won't go back to it so i want my first one to be really good! youtube seems to be obsessed with mint candy apple that's all i know haha. much luv and tia xx
