how do you get such nice frontal lighting on faces? for ex. in the mini shoots in the wooded setting? are they facing an open area? how about the sessions in the open field? it seems like they'd be lit mostly from above, but the faces are bright
Finding the right light and then exposing correctly help a lot..but on those shoots in-particular I had an assistant who was helping bounce light back at them using a reflector.
