The second Matt sets foot on American soil. Is that an appropriate answer? No. I'm kidding. KIDDING.
I've really put a lot of thought into this lately because I really think being a mom is going to be the greatest thing I could ever do. BUT, i'm terrified. TERRIFIED. I'm a little OCD and I tend to worry too much about my cat, so I couldn't even imagine what caring for another human being would be like.
But, i'm getting away from the question. Matt's brother is getting married in the Spring of 2011. I do not want to be pregnant or have a child then. But if I had to bet, probably not long after that... early 2012ish possibly.
(i told you, i've put a lot of thought into this!) -
Olive Garden. I can't pick three! Whenever I go out to eat, that's usually the only place that I go other than a local italian place. I'm super picky and their five cheese ziti is a safe bet every single time. mmmm.

I think the one moment i'll cherish the most is that moment before I walk down the aisle when our eyes meet for the first time.
But in general? I think i'm going to cherish having everyone that is close to my heart in a special place for a whole weekend of having fun, being together and making amazing memories together. -
SCORCHING EFFING HEAT. the only time i have ever been to arizona is when i had a layover in phoenix last june. i had to go outside and hop a bus to my terminal and it was ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT DEGREES.

What I said was, "I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it's something that I disagree with".
I think that the idiots are the people that outwardly bad mouth the members of the military and the sacrifices that they make in an effort to make the world a better place.
Sure, they are fighting for the interests of the US Gov't, but the US Gov't is supposed to keep the best interests of it's people at the forefront. Does that always happen? I'm not so sure.
Fact of the matter is, they are over there. Airmen, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors are all over there doing their part in this war. We cant change that, so we need to be thankful for their sacrifices and grateful for the job that they do.
That does not mean I am for or against the war. I'm FOR my husband. It's that simple.
But, to each his own. If to you, the gov't is limiting your freedom and you are against the war... that's okay. You have your reasons. -
Nope! I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it's something that I disagree with. Is it frustrating when someone dogs the military being over there? Absolutely. Do I get upset when someone says that they don't support the sacrifices that the man I love is making and that they think he's ridiculous for fighting a war we shouldn't be in? You betcha.
But, when situations like this arise... I'm even more proud of he's fighting for their rights to be complete idiots.
I know that a lot of people might not agree with why our troops are over there, but they still sympathize with their sacrifices. If you're going to disagree, that's really all I could ask. Just be understanding. -
It's okay? I mean, i've loved asking and answering the questions... but there are a lot of anon haters out there and even though I just delete their questions it still irks me.

I DID! And this makes me wildly happy.
My biggest reason was my overwhelming desire to get married on the beach in the summer. We didn't have time for a summer wedding this year, and Matt's brother is getting married next May, so that summer would be too close. So, we would have had to wait until 2012... which just seemed SO FAR AWAY. So, we decided to go to the warm weather!
I've never been to Jamaica, but i've always wanted to go and my parents just love it there, so that's why we picked it! We want to make this fun for everyone involved. A wonderful excuse to go on a great vacation with some amazing people! -

HE BITES HIS NAILS. It drives me insane. He doesn't just bite them a little, they are like... non existent. He even does it when we're on skype together and I want to reach through the screen and smack him silly.
the way he sneaks up behind me, wraps his arms around me and kisses my cheek when i'm washing the dishes (or doing pretty much anything). it never gets old. -
Crash. Because I crashed my car ALL THE TIME. i'm not kidding. I had the boys in metal shop 5 ton epoxy my license plate back to my car after I tore that and the fiberglass off of my car when I hit a work van in the wawa parking lot at 7am.
#1. Because I was always, ALWAYS ranked number one in my AP Environmental Science class. It was awesome, I was good at it and then it stuck.
Midge. I'm little. -

Oh, I've lost count how many times.

You know, i've really thought about this a lot. Well, not what i'd get really... just getting another one. I'm not really sure what i'd get. Something to symbolize all of the amazing changes in my life this past year, I think.
I'm headed to Boulder in March and i'm hoping to convince a certain resident to get another one with me. We'll see. :) -
Well, is it a day I have to shave or no? Assuming it is (and those days are rare as of late), i'd be in the shower somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 minutes.
Then, I usually lay around in my towel for a while and let my hair air dry a bit. Maybe 10 minutes?
Then, I'll blow dry my hair just until it's barely dry. Maybe 10 minutes.
Then, I'll toss on my clothes. If you factor in time staring at my closet, i'll be at about ten minutes.
Next is makeup. Thats about five minutes. Not even, but i'll be conservative.
Then, I'll run the flat iron over my hair in three separate layers to get it nice and smooth. 10 minutes.
Soooo. One hour and ten minutes. I am not proud of this. -

I am absolutely wildly proud to be a milwife and the wife of a police officer. Part of me would appreciate it if the man that I love would just get a normal 9-5 job and quit trying to save the world, but he wouldn't be the man he is now without being those things too.
My favorite part about being an Air Force wife, hands down are the times when someone stops me in the store because they heard me mention that he's deployed and they just say thank you. I like to think that they aren't thanking me, my sacrifices are few in comparison, but that they are thanking him through me.
One time, I was in CVS and the cashier made a joke about all of the chewing gum that I was buying. I wasn't thinking and I was like "Oh, don't think i'm some gum chewing fiend. It's for my husband who's in Iraq". Now, I don't go around advertising this, it just sort of fell out of my mouth. the woman behind me in line tapped me on the shoulder and told me that she would be honored to purchase the stuff that I got for Matt and to please tell him thank you for his service. I protested, but eventually relented. Tears welled up in my eyes and I just hugged her and said thank you. That's one of my favorite parts about it. -
Sunshine. Califorina (Southern California & La Jolla in particular) is one of my most favorite places in the history of the world. I've been out there... 6 or 7 times now and every time, I fall even more in love with that gorgeous state. The only downside is the TRAFFIC. Oh my heavens, I can't deal with it.
On my first drive back from Vegas in 2008, I was on the 5 and almost got crushed by a tractor trailer that decided that HE should have the right of way. I am proud of myself for driving on the Cali highways, but never again. We don't have highways like that here. -
Hm. I think COLD. Isn't it cold in Michigan? I've never been to Michigan. Maybe I should work on this.

Huh. You know, I haven't put much thought into that. He has told me on more than one occasion that the first thing he wants to do is go to Olive Garden, eat his weight in salad and bread sticks and down a bottle of Chianti. So it looks like that's what we will be doing first.
As far as when he gets home? I'm not really sure! He has lost almost 30 pounds since he's been deployed, which is great... it means (hopefully) he will eat more of what I eat and less guy food. But I'm sure he will probably request a steak, medium rare and roasted potatoes. I hate looking at meat, touching it, cooking it, but I do it for him since it's a favorite treat of his. (GAG)
