Of course, that depends on who you're giving it to and what you need to apologise for. Generic apology presents are the worst... like, "hey, I'm sorry about this thing. I'm also sorry I have not concept of you as a unique person and just went with flowers because they had a "sorry" card stapled to them!".
Pretty much anybody can do better than that! -
Ammo is nice.

If it's someone you care for a lot, a long walk with them, and just talking to them about the cause of the problem, how it made you feel, and what you want to do to change it. No real destination is needed just the walk.

The shiniest ones that might not be worth a lot to other people but mean a lot to the person you're giving them too.
((This is a rare instance when Katty reflects my real life preferences. Anyone can buy someone roses to say sorry, but when someone understands another person enough to get them their favourite colour in a polished stone? So good.)) -
I don't know. I don't tend to buy presents because I'm sorry. I buy presents because I'm happy. When I'm sorry I hate the idea of throwing money at things because I have so much, any expenditure seems worthless. I try to give of my hands, of my sweat, of my blood.
I bought an ironworks in Sharkhead and pushed its economy into overdrive as an apology for being lucky enough to get rich, though. That's not quite the same thing though. -
A sincere apology with actions to make up for the folly are better than any material gift. Just throwing a trinket at someone and saying sorry doesn't make you feel better about them, nor does it make you think they won't do it again.

Ones that actually mean sorry rather than just 'I'm trying to buy my way out of this'.
Doesn't matter if there even is a gift.Material things cheapen apologies.
Hmm...usually something meaningful, I think. Something that shows that they aren't just saying sorry for the sake of it, that they really do mean it. Personally, a good book's almost always a good choice, something she really does think I'd like.
