I always favored Fox due to speed and a good projectile attack. This was before I knew of tiers and his placement. Also excludes Brawl - I just don't own that game. Never bought it.

Depends if we're talking about the original N64 first one or following ones (Brawl...). Original one I mastered most all characters lol I am good with Zelda/Sheik, Link, etc~ haven't been able to game at home much nowadays to really play and master most the characters tho :( boooo~ plus no one to play with lol

When we play Brawl I'm always trying out different characters but if I had to choose a favorite I guess it's Lucas. Lucas is feisty.

On the Gamecube, Yoshi and Mewtwo. Occasionally Link, Zelda, Peach, Roy, or Marth.
On the Wii, Link, Zelada, and occasionally Peach.
No one gets to Luigi faster than i do : ) I often intentionally play as player two just to be sure I'll get him.
The first Smash I used to play as Kirby, because of the walk-in-the-parkiness.
And when I got better I played with Link, because... Well you know... Sexiest ginger evvahs.
Unless, of course, Luigi was unlocked.
