If you were put into a situation where you had to make the choice between saving your pet or a stranger's child, who would you save? [5]

a strangers child -____- i wouldnt be able to put up with the guilt of saving my pet instead of some guys kid

i would also have to stand with the pain of knowing that the kids life was cut short

not like i havent had to put up with tthat before loool daily job of an ex-guardian angel

    Well my pet, of course!
I realize it may sound conceited at first, but just think about it. What if the stranger's child was a little brat? What if they were possessed by some demonic being? What if they were terminally ill and wanted to be put out of their suffering, anyway?
    Oh, the possibilities. *-*
Why save the life of someone you know nothing about? What if letting them die is doing a favour to others? You know, no matter how young they are? Just so you can be named "Hero!" for a couple of months?
It's not worth it in my opinion.
Saving your pet- your animal companion; the only one that can sense when you are upset, will always be there to comfort you, and love you unconditionally without asking for the same thing in return - is a whole different story on its own.
In conclusion, your pet's life is much more important than any petty child.

Who in their right mind would value an animal's life more than a child's? Goals and dreams and a future, you've stripped them away from an innocent child because you chose to save the dog, a dog whose absence would only really be missed by you but is nothing in comparison to the loss that the family would have experienced if you chose your pet over their child.

And how many of you could break the news to the parents? 'I couldn't save your child, because I chose to save my dog instead.'

    Stranger's child, of course.
The lives of humans are, have, and always will be more valuable than animals - no matter how attached you are to your pet.
