I haven't even fucking started playing it yet and all I keep hearing is how the ending is a disappointment. Fuck everybody that has the time to play all their games so fast that they post spoilers all over the internet.

I mean, shit, I still have games from last year that I haven't played yet... What the hell every happened to free time?!

Whatever, I haven't seen or read any spoilers yet so it's cool. I just have to keep up my willful ignorance until I get the time to play it.

Pro-Tip: I will cut you if you spoil it.

it's great that they listen to the fans. And that they went through the trouble to come up with an ending more satisfactory for BioWare rather than what the fans want... but makes the fans go... "huh. Okay. I can live with that. :D" IF you write to satisfy people, you voice never gets heard. And you already fail because you can't please everyone. BioWare is good .... great at what they do. They don't have to prove anything else to anyone. Mass Effect is already the best sci fi series that's comparable in my opinion to Batllestar Galactica, Star Wars and Star Trek. And none of the Characters look anything or the story reminds you of any of those concepts. Even Babylon 5. Yup. I said it. Now whu?

I think it sets a really bad precedent. We don't get to make demands of art. I would NEVER read a book and then write to the author about how disappointed I am in the ending. That ending was part of the artist's vision, and the story he/she was trying to tell. ME3 is no different. This was the culmination of the story, and regardless of how much effort the player felt they put into it, the player was ultimately experiencing the story Bioware wanted to tell. If gamers get in a huff about something they shouldn't be whining about and the company caves, what's to stop them from doing this over and over again?

We don't get to make decisions for artists or writers or filmmakers, why should we get to make decisions for game makers?

Besides, I quite like the ending. If gamers had even a modicum of critical insight, perhaps they might realize the final message of the games is the futility of choice and the smallness of even great individuals in the face of forces greater than their comprehension.

I thought that it had a great ending but it was definitely not grandiose enough for the end of such an epic trilogy.
It seemed like they just brushed it all under the carpet really.
I hope they give it a more epic ending.

I hope they don't change the ending. Caving would set a dangerous precedent for the industry, meaning that a vocal minority can get anything they want if they whine enough.

Haven't played it yet. But yeah, like everyone said, companies that listen to criticism and try to satisfy their costumers are good, and very rare to find in gaming industry these days.

It's nice that Bioware takes time to listen to their fans, not many developers are willing to take constructive criticism. ME3 is a beast of a game regardless of the ending. If Bioware manages to produce a suitable conclusion (or conclusions) that relates to the sheer epicness of the Mass Effect universe... oh boy, this game would be flawless!!!!

No one should be complaining since there's around 14 different endings lol so shut up and get over it.

  15. brunomaltus

Stupid! They should stick with what they planned. No fan should ruin other peoples work

  16. Johnny Cabera

i say shut up fans its not up to you to choose the ending

No, no no no no no.

This should not be viewed with praise, this should not be viewed as "Bioware giving a shit" We need to view this as a company quickly cleaning the crap they left everywhere. This isn't a professional move, in fact, this is quite the opposite. If a game is to be released on a certain day, it is expected to not only be created, but to be known, not decided, that the fans will like it.

To use more imagery, its as if the police caught a serial killer attempting to bury his victim, and before the police apprehend the man, he goes on to say, "No, wait! If I give you both 10 dollars, I can finish burying the body, and we'll have less of a mess!" Its lunacy, do they really think people are just going to forget one of the biggest flaws of the game? Its corporate logic like this that leaves me bewildered, how can people just go with this? If we continue acting like a bunch of submissive idiots, companies can fuck us over for anything. What we, the fan base did earlier was right! We attacked a problem, sure some of it was a little extreme, but nonetheless, we charged into the problem head-on. And while corrupt scumbags which include "professional critics" (or professional liars) and even the company themselves tried to stop us and blame us for not liking it, we still won the battle. But now we are at the apex, the point of no return, and what do they do? They cave in. They promise a DLC that'll fix ALL of the problems. Do you honestly think that we'll believe that? Oh, but you would be surprised, we live in a world where IQ is in the double-digits. So all of the fans seem to be pleased, rather than questioning how this makes us look.
No matter how much DLC you throw at us, we will never forget that you fucked up.
No matter how much money and hours you spend changing the ending, we will never forget that you fucked up.
In the end, Bioware fucked up, and they should be held responsible and punished for that.

Honestly Mass Effect 3's ending sucked.

  19. Chris Barmonde

Ugh. Was the ending perfect? No. Is this entire thing overblown? DRASTICALLY. I wish BioWare would just stand by their product and tell everyone to fuck off and deal with it, or just confirm Indoctrination Theory and let everyone go on their merry way. I mean, I appreciate that they're taking the time to actually address concerns, but I wish the concerns were actually useful and valid first.

my father told me once: "the audience is stupid"
the fans should really quit bitching.

Haven't played the game, but it's nice that they're listening to their listening to the consumers.
Unlike a certain other company *coughsquareenixcough*
