Do you think wisdom is gained by suffering? Or do you think that you simply lose hope? [12]

eh, I think it's gained by going to get an education

These depressing questions are beginning to irk me. Some lessons of life can only be learned the hard way. It doesn't have to always be suffering, but a form of hardship nonetheless. Even when faced with obstacles and plateaus, it is up to you to overcome them. If one loses hope in the process, then they either gave up or placed it on a weak and unstable foundation. Wisdom is gained through knowledge and experience regardless of the good or bad that follows.

It depends on the will of the person suffering.
In a make-or-break situation you either need to learn from what's happening and triumph over it, or fall apart. -
Suffering itself does nothing. There needs to be a lesson and a way to overcome suffering, otherwise it doesn't happen.
