Do you think that space is worth exploring? Is it money well spent? (NASA just confirmed that the Curiosity rover has landed safely on Mars!) [13]

OMG YES!! This is such a massive milestone in our aerospace discovery. I am extremely anxious for the results, I know they won't release everything publically but what if they find evidence of human life, what if they find a cure for cancer, what if they find a mechanical lifeform, what if they find an alien species that we could save from extinction.... All of these cause a huge amount of curiosity in my mind.

It will be when aliens appear.

Yes. Space is full of resources for us to utilize, our planet is vulnerable and it offers new territory for us to move into, but most importantly, I can't understand NOT being curious about what's out there, and not wanting to explore.

YES DEFINITELY HOLY FUCK.
I love space SO much. I WISH I could get a chance to go into space one day, even if that meant just barely leaving the Earth's atmosphere. Space is so beautiful and unknown and mysterious. ugh I just love it.
And of course its money well spent. There's not much left here on Earth to be completely honest. The planet is running out of resources... we will eventually need to find somewhere else to look. And the only place that's left, is to look to the stars.
