Do you ever drink alcohol and then drive? If so, much is safe to drink? If not, why not? [13]

If I know I have to drive, I'm not drinking more than maybe 3-4 drinks and I'm stopping well before it's time for me to go. I think drunk driving is a horrible mistake and taken too lightly considering the potential for death and destruction.

Many people have a tendency to underestimate how drunk they actually are.

I can't drive. :( But I wouldn't drink and drive anyway because I enjoy not getting in car accidents or running over pedestrians.

*raises hand* I drink and drive.

However, it's exceedingly difficult for me to get drunk. I can usually have two large cocktails with dinner without so much as getting tipsy.

But I must add, that if ever I felt I was anything BEYOND tipsy, I wouldn't allow myself to drive until I had sobered up. If I lived with someone with a license I'd probably just have them drive me home, but as it is, I would just have to wait to sober up.

Not really, sometimes I might of had a beer then drove home, but I'm just don't really into my alcoholic beverages (unless it's rum and coke!) 8D

I often drink and putt as well. As long as you are able to stay on the cart path, you are well within your limit.

If I've had one or two drinks (I count a drink as one full measure of alcohol. Ex: a margarita with Patron and Grand Marnier would be two drinks), then I'm still in control of myself and am safe to drive. Any more than that I won't risk.

I don't like drinking and drinking is pretty bad when your driving. Why? Because my cousin's best friend died because she was drunk and was driving.
