LOLZ. Are you the same gal that asked about my Keds awhile back? (Or are people THAT in love with them?) They're a mess; they have stains and I've abused the heels - they are now terribly uncomfortable. I don't even have them with me in Toronto! But if a lovely reader (cough cough) wants to give me a fresh pair for Christmas, I would be more than happy to rock em! hahah

Hahah. I DO still have them, but I have made some discoveries about them like, 1) They are extremely dirty (I dropped chocolate ice cream on it and it looks like blood) and 2) I never wear them properly and I have learned that shoes will not forgive me for that (i.e. bye-bye, properly fitting heel!) and 3) apparently my feet have grown or they have shrunk? Ouchhh. In conclusion, I like them too, but I think I need new Keds. :)

Like, 96.9212% of my wardrobe is vintage/ thrifted. So YES. (Note: not that, like, quaint/ little shop vintage. Like, value village/ salvation army stuff. I'm too cheap, haha.)

Ahhh. I'm so torn on this. Galliano is obviously a genius, a visionary, he created real ART. It's heartbreaking that we will no longer be granted his visions and creations. On the other hand, what he said made me physically ill and there should be repurcussions. I'm very much against bigotry and his views are so archaic. Also, from what I understand, this wasn't a "once in a lifetime" outburst - it was part of his character. That's disgusting. I don't have tolerance for that. Ahh. For me, I guess it's a debate of character vs. art. I think having a strong, good character percolates. Galliano is internally disgusting.
To be honest, I'm surprised they went as far as to FIRE him. It's kind of ballsy and I like it. That being said, I'm really confident in the pool of talent out there. I'm sure they'll end up hiring someone with a strong reputation in the fashion industry, but I think it would be really, really amazing if they gave the position to a young designer. It saddens me how little of the pool of talent out there gets showcased. It's sort of my new secret dream: to see a young artist be given a chance. That would be incredibly inspiring.
Actually, one thing that really irks me about this situation are the comments: I was reading articles/ watching videos, and a lot of people say things like, 'Ah fag!' or 'Hitler hated homosexuals' etc etc. I don't understand why people always fight hate with hate. It shouldn't be like that.
