I use a videocamera - it's a canon vixia and i cannot remember the exact model but it's an HFM something! i really recommend the line, it's a great camera with fantastic stabilization.

I don't really advocate adding to blog directories or catalogs anymore. I came to discover they were essentially useless. Blogs are discovered by word of mouth and by networking. Getting to know blogs you respect & admire by commenting, replying to tweets, etc is a great way to get noticed and make connections, even with big bloggers. Then they mention you or credit you with a link etc etc and then your traffic comes from others following that trail. It's all about networking, honestly. I would become an active participant of IFB as well -- great, great source of networking & advice.

Hi! Great question. :) I prefer to use natural lighting in any scenario - fortunately my apartment is blessed with wall-to-wall windows in one area, which is opposite of where I take my photos. Anywhere you can get diffuse, natural lighting is best - you can fill in shadowed areas with lamps and overhead lighting but I never like the tone of the light as much as I do natural lighting. :)

Step 1 went fine! For now I'm keeping my specialty choice a secret. :) Juggling fashion and medical school is a challenge but they are two sides to me that make me whole! Prioritizing is the best way to go. I think I've always put medical school first. But whenever I have time left over, I love working on the blog!

I'm procrastinating on studying for my Surgery clerkship board exam, which is this coming Friday! Eep!

Hi! I just checked it out--am not familiar with it but it looks great--sparkly and without harmful chemicals or preservatives. Sounds perfect to me!

Wow, that's quite a question! I'm afraid without any specifics, the best advice I can give you is to mimic nature. Without sounding too much like a hippie, Mother Nature gets color palettes just right.
So if you're looking to mix pastels, look for the colors of Easter or pretty spring flowers. Keep it all in moderation, for example you can dress in neutral beiges but add touches of sweet pale pink or lilac here and there.
For earth colors, look at summery & fall colors, like gourds (pumpkins, squash, etc) and eggplant. Balance them with black (like black tights) and don't go overboard with too much "earth" in one outfit. One idea that I like is wearing monotone colors like blacks and greys, and adding a punch of earth tone pop with maroon or eggplant colored tights (check out welovecolors.com for a great selection).
Hope this helps you dear! -
I used 4shared.com - they have a built-in embed code you can use once you upload the mp3 file! Very convenient and helps protect against unauthorized downloading, etc. :)
As for the outfit posts tab, that is the result of a lot of hard work on my own, customizing coding - lots of blood sweat and tears went into that page! I'm afraid I don't have a good answer as to how to get it to work for anybody else. It's kind of specific to PSS's theme and layout, etc! Sorry I'm not of much help in that respect. :(
Thanks for your kind words - I'd love to see what you come up with for your gift guides! Thanks for asking! -
Houston is fabulous, just depends on your preference. Family life: Memorial, Spring Branch, River Oaks, West U etc. Hip urban: Museum district, Heights, Montrose :) I'm sure other houstonians can chime in if they want!

Oh, is this really Justine? She has her own account. :) And I'm not really sure about twitter, cuz I didn't tweet anything to that effect. But thanks for visiting!!

Well I'd really like to be an OB/GYN! The rotation really sang to me and it was one of those rare times where I was actually like, "Wow, I can see myself doing this! When can I start?" As for where, that's up to fate and where HB gets in (he's a year ahead of me and interviewing at residency programs right now).

That's a good question! I have no idea! :) Haha sorry to be so vague, but just think of it as dividing your time between two things you love to do, that are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Each suits my different moods. One is more businesslike, professional, leadership type role in which I am supposed to have the answers to everything, and the other is a purely creative outlet where I *pretend* to have the answers to everything.
Wow, I sound so anal! It's probably because I am. -
I love to watch House, Glee, and a guilty pleasure is America's Funniest Home Videos. The host is so corny (they always have been) but darn if I don't giggle my butt off! It's great for your abs.

HB and I met in first year of med school - he was my tutor! ;-)
