Why is it that my own feces does not smell bad? When I have to smell other feces, baby with a diaper, in a public bathroom, it smell horrible.

Two possible reasons. First off, it could mean you're healthy. If your feces don't smell that bad, it means you have a good diet and your intestines are working fine.

The second possible reason has to do with the human psyche. See, your feces are yours; they come from you. Thus, your body tells itself that the feces smell not too bad. Other people's feces are, well, not yours. Hence, they'll tend to smell pretty bad to you. It's essentially your body being egotistical and hypocritical, which isn't necessarily a bad thing :)

also, how does i predict next year's population for JUST my city?

Well, I would suggest thoroughly reading your textbook's section on population growths. That being said, it depends on which equation you use; I've found four so far: three are mathematical, one is biological. You can use birth rates and death rates; looking at past population numbers vs. present; or go into biological populations, which you probably won't want to do. So, whichever method you're gonna use, let me know and I can try to help you further :)

No. The pole would have to bend at some point, since there is no such thing as a perfectly rigid pole, and thus the information would be delayed. The problem is, you can't take a normal, everyday object, scale it up immensely, and expect it to act like it would in its smaller form :)
