For a table it's a good idea to have some kind of eye-catching piece like a banner or a standee - those that know your work will be drawn in, those that don't get a good example of the kind of work you do. I've had a banner in the past, but they don't always work for every convention setting, so I'm putting together a 18" standee of the comic's principal characters which won't take up too much table space.

I sometimes bring some kind of "conversation piece" for the same effect. One show it was a Cyberman Voice-Changing Helmet. Kinda hard to miss.

Some kind of business card/postcard/flier is good, keep some at the table, drop some at the inevitable freebie table. Should be eye-catching. I'm doing bookmarks next, acts as a business card and is more likely to be useful to those receiving them. Freebie minicomics are good if you can afford them.

As a con-goer, I like to be able to get a quick idea of the product you're selling, the story you're telling.
