Bret's siblings and extended family are wonderful people and we love them all dearly. The relationship with his Dad and step-mom isn't ideal and is always a work in progress, but still I know I have never said his family and our family aren't close and if it was implied in any way I apologize.

Phew...glad to get that clarification out there :)

We moved to California because it's where his best job offer was. We also moved here because Utah doesn't pay Veterinarians well and after being in Vet school and racking up some lovely student loan debt being paid better allowed us to pay on our student loans, where if we moved straight to Utah after graduation paying student loans and having a house would just not be possible.

We love California and what it has to offer. It's not that far from Bret's sister and extended family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins) in St. George and my family in Provo. It has Disneyland and the beach. It was a great choice for us.

I always said I would never want to live in California and am very surprised that this is where we are living, but we love it here...for now.
