As a child, what did you want to become when you grew up?

I wanted to be a lot of things. I wanted to act, and I wanted to sing. I wanted to be an astronaut. I wanted to be a firefighter and a cop. I wanted to be a ballerina. Sometimes, even a princess. But the only one I vocalized was that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I didn't realize that meant live in school.

What's the furthest you've ever traveled?

Musician.
When you act, you pretend to be something you aren't. And you make that your living. Before you know it, your career becomes your identity. You can't keep that up and be yourself. But you can't be yourself and be something the world will want to look up to. You start to do what you want, and the world looks down on you for it. Oh, she smokes salvia, she must be bad. He flipped off a camera. He must be bad. Then, you turn that into who you should be because the industry has messed with you so much. You don't know up from down. You don't know who you can trust. You don't know that you can even go home without someone following you and turning something as simple as a pizza delivery into a "secret affair" to post all over the tabloids. Before you know it, you've lost yourself forever to what those characters made you.
A musician is the most real thing you can be. The world can see you're not perfect, but tell you that you are anyway. You save a million lives doing what you love. When you're a true musician, you don't just hear the notes and write down what you think people will want to hear. You put your entire heart and soul into your music, your fans, and your performances to ensure you are the best you that you can be. Sure, some let that get to them and turn into the things they fight so hard to keep out of the world, but they never lose that passion for what they do. They're true people's people. Something I would love to be.

This isn't such a great question, to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I could answer with the sweetest person I know. I could answer with the most caring person or the person who's the thinnest or cutest or fits best into society's idea of "beautiful", but that's a game I've never been good at playing, and I don't plan on learning how to play it well.

To the moon. And I'd make my own little civilization made completely out of moon dust. And I'd name one of them Sid. And Sid would make a living working in a cubicle. He'd have a wife and two kids with one on the way. His wife would be Lucinda and his kids would be Robert and Irene. Robert would be a freshman in high school and he would play football and be nice to everyone in his class, even the nerds. Because, you see, Robert is a good guy. And he would take care of his little sister because she's only eight and all the little boys in her class would already think they love her. But none of them would ever hurt her. Because on the moon, everyone is nice. And the moon is safe.

All the old movies I haven't watched since I was little. I never realize how much I loved them until go back and watch them. Lately, the two that made me laugh the most were How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey and Elf. We're Back seems to make me do the same, but not as much.

Absolutely nothing. I love my life the way it is and where it's headed, and I'd never change it for anything.
