I don't know if I can answer this - I've only ever worked at small/mid-sized companies. I guess in the middle is probably best. And the best way to avoid the question :)

You're correct, the reason I leave it unbuttoned is because I can't button it. If I bought it large enough to button over my chest, it would be too big everywhere else! I do have a white button-down from mycurvyclothes.com that fits pretty well, although it's less exciting than the gingham H&M one. I reviewed it here:

      It means "let's go!"

(well the full meaning is more "let us set out in a military manner" but I prefer the much simpler translation because it's not like my blog has anything to do with the military...)

Ohhh interesting question! I have a lot of both. For work, family events, or just any conservative occasion, I usually do regular old tights just because I'd hate for my skirt to scrunch up and reveal a garter strap when I'm trying to be taken seriously. But I find stockings way more comfortable (not to mention attractive) so I prefer those for evenings, parties, etc.

Well, I think "fun" and "practical" can coexist and that's when presents are the best! You know, something that would improve your life, but that you wouldn't buy for yourself. Like if you got into hiking and someone got you super awesome hiking boots that Christmas. Or if you're always cold and someone finds electric socks for your ski trip.

Frivolous things are usually pretty useless things, something you could use once or twice and then forget about. Even if it's the prettiest dress you've ever seen, it's not really going to impact you that much except for the few times you wear it. But if someone gives you something practical that improves your everyday life, I'd say that's worlds better!

Well I do LOVE to swim. There aren't really any public pools around me (and Cincinnati is sadly devoid of beaches!) but my boyfriend's parents live only a few hours away and they live RIGHT on a lake so I get to swim up there when the weather is hot! It is glorious. Except when the fish bite my toes and I nearly jump out of my skin!

TLP actually "found" me (almost three years ago now! wow!). I have always liked cute underthings, so when TLP started up I stumbled across them pretty early and became active in their forums when there were still only about 5 members. After a few months, they emailed asking if I wanted to join the writing team, I guess after reading enough of my posts to know my lingerie love was serious and that I knew what I was talking about!

My fashion blog is younger, I think under two years old. My interest in fashion had been slowly growing in the few years beforehand, and I found a few outfit blogs through some fashion forums I visited. I started reading the blogs regularly, and I liked the community that I saw forming around them. There aren't really that many people in my offline life who are into fashion, so I had no one to talk about clothes with. My blog started mainly because I definitely consider myself a "fashion newbie" and I really liked getting the feedback and ideas I couldn't get from anyone I knew IRL. I really appreciate the time people spend answering my questions, offering ideas, and just generally being very encouraging and helpful when I experiment with different looks and styles.

Pro (as in "professional) - fi (as in fiction) - kiss - ka - more

      I hope that made sense!

Hmmm well almost every time I bake something, I usually try a new recipe. I can't help myself! I usually only use the tried-and-true recipes when I don't have time for a do-over (like if I have to have something ready for a party that's in two hours). My favorite thing to make is definitely cupcakes. But one thing I make that everyone goes NUTS for and specifically requests is these cookies, which actually have the simplest recipe ever:

-1 box devil's food cake mix (get a box that makes a point of saying it's "ultra-moist" or something to that effect)
      -1 stick softened butter
      -2 eggs
-1 cup Andes Mint chips (they'll be next to the chocolate chips, although not all stores have them) (honestly I prefer to use plain semisweet chips but everyone else in the world likes it better with the Andes Mints)

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix together cake mix, butter, and eggs. Mix in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets and bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

I can't choose one best gift I've gotten. My top:
      -my grandmother's diamond ring
-This past Christmas my parents gave me a picture from my childhood - it was a painting I did of The Little Mermaid when I was 4 or 5. I was so proud of it when I was little, and had it in my room for years. They found it while they were moving this year and had it framed for me.
-My boyfriend got me a red Kitchenaid for Christmas last year...it's not as sentimental as the others, of course, but it ROCKS

      Best I've given:
-When I 15, my then-boyfriend of about a year went off to college while I was still in high school. I didn't have a lot of money to buy a going-away present for him, so I got a blank journal and made a sort of scrapbook of our relationship for him to take with him. Of course we broke up just a few months later (like most kids in that situation) but the gift sticks out in my mind because I spent a LOT of time on it - an hour or two a night for about two months.
-A few years ago, I found some slides of pictures my aunt took when I was younger. She was taking photography classes and took some pictures of my dad and me at the park from when I was 5 or 6. I sneaked them out of the house and got a couple of the photos printed and framed for my dad's birthday. Not the most expensive gift, but I LOVE those pictures (I ended up getting the same prints and frames for myself!)

Well, I don't know that I necessarily have one favorite place. I like Ann Taylor Loft for affordable basics, and I like Etsy and Forever 21 for jewelry, but other than that I sort of bounce around and stop in wherever catches my eye. I like New York & Company for basics too because they fit my figure better than a lot of shops in my price range, but I'm not always a huge fan of the styles they roll out so it's hit and miss for me there.

HAHA this is a good day for me because just an hour ago a woman in my office asked me the same thing! I guess I don't have an answer for this except Thanks, you made my day :)
