While on the topic of 3D, is it here to stay or do you think it will keel over and die once people get fed up with those miserable glasses?
The glasses are going to die, and anyone who buys an overpriced TV set making use of them is a Fool. There are screens coming out that don't need them though, and if that technology is refined enough via systems like Nintendo's new DS, there'll be some interesting releases.
I just don't care particularly though. Aside from a bit of an "Oooh" factor the first few times you see it (something I got out of at theme parks many, many years ago) I just don't think the effect is all its cracked up to be. When I'm immersed, I'm immersed. 3D tends to break me out of that more rather than adding to it.
