This question comes from unemployed philosophy major who runs a PC games site and thinks everything he writes is complete and utter shit. Have you ever felt this way, and if so, how did you combat it?
I wouldn't go as far as to say 'complete shit', but most writers I know who care about their craft regularly get stricken with self-doubt. It's not helped by the internet, and the fact that an article going big usually means a torrent of people who just want to tell you how much you suck and should be shot.
The best way to combat it is to save the nice things people say so that you can check back on them, and never, ever be tempted to click through to a site like Digg or Reddit to see what they're saying about you. Trust me, it's not worth the pain. At some point, you just have to have faith in what you're doing, backed up with however many people are actually reading it or how many you've persuaded to give you work. It's not always easy though, and it can lead to nasty depression if you let it get to you too much.
