sometimes. if you stretch too quickly, it will hurt. just remember not to cause unnecessary stress to the tissue. don't cause it to scar by tearing tissue by stretching too fast. there is reason it's called stretching. because the tissue will naturally loosen if you play with your gauges, and then you can go up a size.

when I have $$. hahahaha. wanna front me?
-
yikes. well, we'll see how video blogs fit in between seeing friends, weaving, my boyfriend, making hair baskets, working at a liquor store and learning to play the violin. sheeeeeeesh.
-
mmmm. no. I could make one, I'm just afraid that I'd be doing it for the wrong reasons. It feels kind of bizarre to tell "strangers" about what has been happening to me the more I think about it. Unless I'm blabbering about my ridiculous homework at school, I don't have much to share. Well, I do but I don't know if I WANT to anymore. So I guess it's kind of an on-hiatus thing, unless there is genuinely someone out there that wants to hear about my bizarre and quite lovely life.

It's a chad vangaalen concept! You should check out his music to get the full feeling behind my tattoo. It's also cute, I think. :)

I don't think they're much different. both are labels. people are both comforted and afraid of labels. my lovely friend anna commented on that video and made an excellent point. which made me think: labels are labels, hipster/indie/punk/stupid/fake/feminine/cool/hip who the fuck fucking cares. it's like high school all over again. and it's making me uncomfortable.
I'm not going to be told what I am. not because I'm afraid of being called "indie" or a "hipster", but because I refuse to give anyone else the power to tell me who/what I am and who/what I am not. if someone wishes to say anything about me, ideally they could say "katherine dresses trendily. or katherine works her ass off at school. or katherine is a human being who appeals to current fashion trends."
I don't give a shit what beer you drink, or why you drink it. And you shouldn't care what beer I fucking drink, or why I drink it. It never mattered. What I do care about are things like pretension. Quality of conversation. The ability to connect with someone beyond a facade of superficiality. How passionate you are about what you do and who you are. How creative of a problem solver you are.
People are great. And people are different. And I am going to go on the internet here and make a decision. That is a decision to refute judgement calls and fear and resentment and just let people do whatever they want to do and be whomever they choose. I forgot that I hated labels because the labels changed. It's not just jocks and nerds anymore. It's taken me a while to get to a place where I'm comfortable saying that labels are limiting.
I feel like taping a proverbial label to your forehead is limiting. So let's just say a suitable label is ".............". -
thanks! it means a lot to me, and it's almost a year old!!! I love it too.
-
I used to like them when I was younger. I haven't listened to them much recently.
-
why would you suggest that I go work up north if you understand that the oil sands are destroying the environment?
-
That is the last thing I would ever do. I consider working up north akin to selling my soul. I'd rather be poor. One hundred times over.
-
They're all amazing and different!

I got a lot of hilarious and thoughtful gifts. I got my toque, lots of wine, a steak dinner, a job and a song written just for me. And a bowl for drinking coffee, and lots of hair! Exciting!
-
TOQUES. BEER. BREAKDANCING LESSONS. SAFEWAY GIFTCARD. perhaps someone to watch james bond movies with?
-
Dream job. All the way. And I hate to break it to you anon, but seriously take some risks. Not knowing is what makes life exciting.

Toronto for it's size and diversity, Halifax for it's location and school and Montreal for it's history/culture/language/arts and music scene.

Oh my gosh yes. I want to get married in fall and it's my birthday time and it's time for Halloween and the leaves and colors... I love both of the transitional seasons. Those being fall and spring.

Katherine’s Bio
I laugh easily, I love reading, and I love to make stuff. I go to arts school, it's harder than you might think. It was harder than I thought it would be...
