Well I did over 100 flights last year alone... I imagine probably around 700? Maybe a little bit more? I flew a lot as a kid; but obviously my travels have increased over the last few years. Good question! Now I'm really having to reflect on how often I've flown in my life. haha

I'd love to go to Europe - specifically Italy. I'm very curious to see where my ancestors came from. I hear it's beautiful there!
-
I love flying - absolutely love it. I often take day trips to visit friends and family but when I have the time I'll stay a few days in the places I visit. Happy flying to you as well! :)

Oh of course. 9/11/2001 changed the way we will fly forever. It's no longer a 'trust everyone' world. I believe everyone is more cautious when they travel... taking a second look at their neighbor, always looking out for suspicious things and constantly having a terrorist attack in the back of their mind. Feel free to use my 9/11 blog on your paper too. If you want to contact me via email with more questions my email is planensimpleswa at gmail dot com Thanks for the question!

haha! Southwest has allowed me to fly for free since my mom works for them. And that's good enough for me!
I do this blog for pure fun and personal enjoyment. I don't get paid anything. Although if Southwest decided to send me some stickers or something I wouldn't turn them down. :) -
I love Seattle. It's a beautiful city and I love the overcast weather.

I'm not sure if they have a model number... You can check them out at Target.com - here's the link to them http://www.target.com/Skullcandy-Inkd-Ear-Headphones-S2INBL-UB/dp/B00252RZJ0/ref=sc_qi_detailbutton . They're amazing! And I'm not sure what an oin plug in is but I don't believe Southwest uses it!

There's so much controversy over them... but honestly, I'm all about it. I don't EVER want some random stranger touching me... especially on my naughty bits. If that means that they get to see a picture of me naked, fine. Plus, the photo they take isn't too terribly invasive (in my opinion). If anyone is getting off looking at the TSA body scans, well, then they have issues. haha I don't think the "invasive" body scans are the end of airport security. To be honest, in the future I would not be shocked if individuals had to strip down naked to go through the scanners.
I've heard some suggestions that airport security should have more bomb sniffing dogs. From my understanding, dogs can be trained to sniff out just about anything - so why not train them to detect explosive materials? I've also heard that some airports in foreign countries have experts trained to detect suspicious individuals. They ask random questions and read body language - so it wouldn't be easy for someone to come up with answers to difficult questions on the fly.
If we want to be safe when we fly, then we have to make sure all precautions are taken. I think people are being too sensitive with the body scans. Of course, most individuals don't want others to see them naked; but I think EVERYONE doesn't want to be felt up and patted down by strangers in a public place. I feel that the body scan is a much better alternative - and while it's not perfect, it's a more suitable option. -
Hi! Thank you so much! It's a wonderful and crazy life to be living. I'm very lucky to be able to travel as often as I do.
I have a family member that works for the airline so I'm able to travel for free. I'm generally only away from my house for a couple days at a time... I'm a student so I have to get home in order to do my homework.
If you want to travel for free, I highly recommend working for an airline. They have amazing benefits and you'd be able to travel the world for cheap! -
haha Well it's neither really - I travel for fun! My family member works for the airline so it's free for me to fly. :)
-
I wasn't on that flight - but it's good to know I have a doppelganger out there somewhere! :)
-
Thank you so much! It's messages like these that make blogging worth it for me. :)
-
That is crazy! I've never had that happen to me in any US airport... I'm not sure if it's a common requirement in foreign airports though? I imagine they wanted to make sure that it was really a laptop and not some sort of bomb. That's rather weird though. What happens to the people who's laptops aren't charged and can't be powered on?

You're welcome!

I have a family member that works for SWA - And what makes me want to travel? Excellent question... Hmm... Probably the people I meet on my flights and the stories I get to write about on my blog! :)

I'd love to help you out! Feel free to email me at planensimpleswa @ gmail . com

I do consider myself very lucky. To ease the cost of traveling for you, have you thought about working for an airline? They have a lot of flight benefits for you and some even have benefits for your family! I haven't traveled to Japan - funny enough, I've never flown overseas.
-
Ya know, my best recommendation is the travel sites that are advertised on TV - Expedia, Travelocity, etc. They search for the lowest price on multiple airlines so you get some of the best deals out there.
