      Okay, I'll have to start this answer with an embarrassing confession? I had never heard the word "trope" before until I got myself involved into inception fandom a few moths ago (I'd been out of any for years before that.) and I'm still not quite sure what the word entails.

      Is there, like a list where I can just say yay or nay so I don't have to embarrass myself anymore?
