Well, historically, the origin of my name is Greek. Penelope was Odysseus' wife. While he was away at war, presumed dead, and with suitors knocking down her door, she remained faithful. Anyway, if you want to know more about the original Penelope, just go read Homer's The Odyssey.
But, I was named after my godmother. My parents wanted to (slash were obligated to) give me and my sister Greek names. My mom didn't want the very trypical Greek names (variations of Nick/Nicky...or Helen/Elaine/Eleni/Elena...) So, here I am, Penelope.
