Nah. I don't really do those. I think it's important to just be happy and positive and surround yourself with people you care about. Life's too short.

Haha cute. Half Chinese. My fathers parents are from Shanghai and my father and family are from Hong Kong. I still have family in both places. Hopefully I can visit soon. It would be special to perform for them.

It depended on the time of year. When I was in performances it was difficult to manage both time wise and mentally. All I can offer is the advice to keep at it even if you have to review like a million times.

It's practice. I've been a natural turner so those have never been difficult....jumps on the other hand...
-
No I've never cross trained. It doesn't mean I wouldn't just that I have not yet :)

Aww that's so sweet. Thank you!

Learn to love class. That is the secret.

Not at all. You should be happy. Everyone needs to be corrected. If you are not then something is wrong.

It is hard to change the basic structure of your feet but you can improve the flexibility and strength of them to make pointe easier. It comes from the ankle as well. Remember pointe is not just about your feet, it's about the flexibility in your ankle too and the strength of your core. When I am on pointe most of my weight is supported by my core muscles, not my feet. Your feet and ankles need the ability to get on to the box properly. Not over it and not under it.

I just use fleece and measure my foot. I cut it and sew the sides.
-
Haha my favourite ones are comfortable and fit. I don't like loose tutus and with my size it can be a bit annoying
-
I don't know... Sorry. My advice to new dancers in pointe is to try on as many different makes as they can and then choose. Do not get caught up in the branding!
-
It depends on the shoe. Some need more then others but I really don't do a lot. My feet do most of it. It does not take any time at all.
-
Congrats! I prefer freeds for a variety of reasons but the main one is that they work for my feet. I've tried many many pairs and these have always worked well for me.
-
I usually carry 6 or 7 with me at all time. I swap them out depending on what I'm dancing. Some things need softer shoes and some need firmer. It just depends on the day b
