Depends on what you mean when you say "make a portfolio" For example, how many shots you need, if you need prints, ect.

I am going to agree with you on this one. My skill is definitely lacking at the moment, but that hasn't always been the case, and that won't always be the case. I'm just kind of in a rough patch right now, but i'll rise out of it :)

I wasn't calling anyone a hipster. I told them to take their "invalid hipster comment" the one they made about me being a hipster, somewhere else. I don't really like the word hipster. It's stupid and just another label for us to put on what ever individuality will still hold.

This may be your personal opinion Anon. Anyone could do nude shots and some sicko would buy them. I'm not trying to gain any sort of fame with my art work. I simply want to create images that I enjoy and that select others can enjoy and feel something from. I'm not currently creating the type of art I would like to purse as a career for myself and I am aware of that. Most of what I have been shooting lately is commissioned work to make some money so I can save up to move next summer. That's fine if you don't enjoy it and you think its boring- simply don't look at it. It's not going to harm me any. My parents purchased my camera for me as a high school graduation present because they know it's what I want to do with my life and they support me. Take your invalid hipster comments somewhere else. Thank you.
