Thanks for the suggestion! We are currently not purchasing books until the start of the next fiscal year (6/1/2012), but we will forward this suggestion to our collection development librarian for consideration.

While duplex printing is no longer the default (we're working with IT on fixing that), you should still be able to manually switch to duplex printing for your print jobs on the reference printer.
Select Print, then Printer Properties, then the Layout tab. Under Print Type, select 2-sided.
As always, see a library or IT staff member if you need further assistance. -
Oops! It looks like you meant to use our text-a-librarian service, but accidentally posted your question here. To contact a librarian via text, text askolin to 66746 with your question.

We have Macs and PCs available in the library!

By reading a book in the library!
-
This is an interesting idea, we are actually exploring better cooperation with all the state colleges and universities.
-
I am delighted to pass on complements to our librarians and staff. Keep them coming!
-
I am glad you like the library. Our networked printers are set on double sided printing as the default and we have paper recycling bins throughout the building (look out for the green plastci bags.)
-
Thanks for the suggestion, but we already own it. HB74 .P8 T53 2008 you can find it in the General Collection--3rd Floor.

Dude, you are spending too much time thinking about library study carrels! They only look like swastikas from above. If you lie on the grow and look up, they look like the Hindu symbol for good luck. Now doesn't that make you feel better?
-
Thanks for letting us know. Allia is so good every department in the library fights over her, and she isn't even a librarian. No, she is something much better -- a Rollins student. Go Tars!
-
Thanks for sharing, As one of the founding fathers of library science said in his Five Laws of Library Science (1931) "Save the time of the reader."
-
Sorry to hear that, I hope it was because you did not need much help, not because we did not offer to help you.
-
I am glad we could help. Imagine what we could do for you if you came to Rollins?
-
Steven is great student employee and a credit to the Rollins student body. But I doubt if he has ever been called a beagle before!
-
Without ending up being the "library police" it is tough to keep quiet floors quite, but we have added more tabletop signs on all floors indicating quiet and unquiet places. Let me know if this helps.
-
Trudy is great. After 25 years in Archives she retired this semester. I am sure you will find her replacement in Archives, Darla Moore, just as helpful.
-
Good to hear, thanks. As a library that aims to serve the Rollins community we concentrate on supporting the curriculum of the College, this doesn't leave much room for a teen section, but the Winter park Public Library and the Orange County Library System are both easily accessible and do a great job of supporting teen readers.
