What are your observations about the spiritual leanings of the black queer community, en masse?
Can't say anything about "en masse" since I don't want to be accused of generalizing, and people love to accuse others of generalizing. (Wait, did I just generalize? Heh.)
Anyway, from what I've observed in my personal connections I can't really pin down a great deal of commonalities. Most all at least believe in a higher power even if they do not call themselves Christian. I know a few devout church goers, but for the most part it appears no one is attempting to reconcile their own beliefs and day-to-day actions with what they might have been raised to believe. I'm fine with this. But I can't relate them on a spiritual level. Not based on where I am now. But that's okay, I don't necessarily need to in order to have a friendship.
