Can't say anything about "en masse" since I don't want to be accused of generalizing, and people love to accuse others of generalizing. (Wait, did I just generalize? Heh.)
Anyway, from what I've observed in my personal connections I can't really pin down a great deal of commonalities. Most all at least believe in a higher power even if they do not call themselves Christian. I know a few devout church goers, but for the most part it appears no one is attempting to reconcile their own beliefs and day-to-day actions with what they might have been raised to believe. I'm fine with this. But I can't relate them on a spiritual level. Not based on where I am now. But that's okay, I don't necessarily need to in order to have a friendship. -

I think it's perfectly natural for people to have questions like that. I don't find them offensive so much as boring.

For the most part I do, but I'm working very hard on controlling my emotions and making sure the people I love aren't harmed as a result of them. I'm more likely to withdraw before lashing out.
