I love Snuffleupogous! His eyelashes are dreamy and he seems like a really good friend. I also love Smiley the worm, for his laugh! <3

Oh gosh...what a question! I'm currently reading "Northanger Abby" by Jane Austen, it's my first of what I hope will be a wondrous journey through all of the "greats." But you see, I never read much growing up. So what would I recommend a librarian? Pressure! Ha-ha! If you haven't already read "The Life of Pi" or "Banker for the Poor" those would be excellent, life changing books for me.

Wonder Woman, hands down. I grew up watching the Linda Carter starring tv show and she and wonder woman will always be icons to me. I haven't read any of the comics...though now I'm wondering why. My best friend works at a comic shop, I will have to ask him about this. Thank you, Kath. You always ask good questions.

I would LOVE to be Beth Ditto, period. She amazes me. She's so talented, gets to travel and entertain and meet people all over the world. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be. Thanks for this one, Kath.

Roast beef with Monterey Jack cheese, on a Dutch Crunch roll with all of the fixings, no mustard.

Dream job? Good question. While my dreams of being a rockstar have yet to die, I realize that it's unlikely and will keep it on the back burner until I'm 80 and just finally go for it!
But right now I would love to help people. Generic, I know. But it's what I'm great at. I would love to be in a position to help other fats improve their lives and self-esteem and take control over their lives again. I don't mean in a diet-y sort of way, just a healthy and happy and supportive way.
Having said that, I do miss my old job. I was a corporate trainer in customer service and computer skills. That job allowed me to work with and train people one on one as well as in huge groups. I got to travel and give big fancy presentations. I don't miss the politics, but I miss the people and the job was a great creative outlet for me.

Oooh, I love you for this one, Kath. I just got this new cell phone cover that is full on swirls and stripes and butterflies and other things floating around in this fantasy-scape...I want to take my existing two back pieces and incorporate this new cartoon-esque design to the right side where I already have flowers. But in big vibrant colors and have that sort of swirl around to my left shoulder blade where my Chinese characters are and have them turn into paisley and then creep up onto my left shoulder into more pastel colors. It's been on my mind for a week now, one day I'll have the money to match.

Oh man, I ended up as a naughty school girl to go with my friend's naughty nun outfit. So much fun though. Pics of mine here: http://www.notblueatall.com/archives/bodyfat-activism-while-drunk/
Thanks for following up with me. I'd forgotten about the fat gaga, maybe next year. <3

Probably this boy I dated in 8th grade, he was a year younger, but the cutest boy in school. I wore his Giants, baseball, jacket and we dated for four months. Then suddenly he called to say he couldn't see me anymore. I found out a year later it was because he was grounded, but I was heartbroken.

I didn't care for "Animal Farm" I was assigned it for school and then had to create a diorama. I hated it so. I've been trying to read Anne Rice's Jesus book for about three years and just keep putting it down. I don't know that either of those could be saved from being bad. Part of it for me is the character dialogue. If it's not realistic or interesting, I do tend to "check out."

Rubber spatula, good tongs, cookie sheets, decent fry pan or skillet...this could be a very long list. I cook and bake a lot. My kitchen aid mixer is a prized possession. Great question.

Well, seeing as how I just closed my cafe after two years in business, I'm hardly thinking of jumping right back into small business ownership. Having said that though, I do have this secret dream of a mobile fat boutique and activism thingy. It would have clothing and accessories, but also books and zines and things, too. I want to buy and gut one of those "canned ham" style teardrop trailers, deck it out inside all seventies style and go to festivals and food truck meet ups and anywhere. I just want to spread my big fat love all over the place.

I don't even know if I'll have any plans yet. We didn't do anything or dress up last year...or the year before come to think of it. I'd love to finally be Serial Mom since I bought the dress a couple of years ago. Or a big fat lady gaga. Haha. Love it.

The best teacher I ever had was Ms. County (later County-Cohen). She was the first teacher to truly see something in me and make me feel special. I was starting to struggle with school work and I would sometimes stay after school to help her clean up (or was it that I to in trouble for chatting during class? Can't remember, it never felt like a punishment). She really taught me things. Things not in the curriculum! Once she took a couple kids to see Star Trek IV! It remains my favorite Star Trek film because of her! I should try to find her to thank her. I remember she looked a bit like Oprah because of her hair do, too! She just made me (the poor kid) feel worthy in a way I'd never felt before. Great question Kath! Thank you!

If I wasn't allowed to play myself I would probably prefer an unknown. But okay, I'll play along...Celebrity? Kate Winslet would be great or Drew Barrymore.

Right! And I worry that he'll be forced to eat when he's not hungry! Ha-ha! But I think I will stick to what I said in response to the first question. Thanks for the fabulous questions today. <3 I'll try extra hard to think of some for you.

I think firstly that they need more transparency when it comes to how these vaccines are developed. People still believe things like microchips are being implanted with their tetanus shots and things like this. There's a difference between healthy paranoia and straight up hysteria, ya know? That said, I do think that if your child is going to a public school that it has to be mandatory or no one would do it and we could have polio & smallpox returning suddenly. It's far more fragile than we know, this system of ours. But educating the public and allowing for inquiries is important.

I suppose you could try to slowly, before school starts, to adjust his current schedule to something closer to the school's. Just so it's a little easier? I have many of these same fears for when I have a kid. My husband and I already go off about our schools and how things are set up. In a state (country?) where more is spent on prisons than education, it's hard to be optimistic. But I am sure you'll find a way. I would possibly recommend also letting the office know that if he doesn't want to eat something that it's okay with you. A lot of people insist kids eat even when they are no longer hungry. If you're teaching him intuitive eating, they need to respect the hell out of that! <3
