Hi! Not a problem. I'm really interested in how you're getting on with the Benrik tasks. May I suggest, if you're interested in an extra side project, following @Thetaskengine on twitter? Weekly tasks, some of which are featured on various editions of This Diary Will Change Your Life, others taken from the 1001 things to watch/play/try/read before you die/that will change your life series of books.

Because I spend barely any time at home, sat on the computer these days. I'm having a 'catch up on everything thats been going on on tumblr for the past month that I haven't used it' day, then will probably write a thing or two. Sorry! I miss you too. :(

I think this is response to me having said several times in the past that I'm not hugely political, that there are no issues that I'm that passionate about. Dog eating... well, that's something I'd oppose, but moreso because I have a dog. I love my dog, I love all dogs, I couldn't imagine eating one, the thought of eating something I love so much is just unspeakable. But it was never even so much about the fact that they were eating the dogs, it was in the barbaric way in which they slaughtered them. I suppose it's different over there, the way that dogs are seen. Until recently they were not kept as pets, so they don't get the sentimental attachment that so many other countries have for dogs. They'd view them in the same way as we look at cows, or pigs, or chickens. But yes, I'm against animal cruelty. And just cruelty in general. That's not political though. My being anti-cruelty doesn't affect the rest of the world, or even the country. Just the way that I look at things, the way in which I behave and the way in which I try to treat others.

This may have changed since I last looked:
      My housemates' food,
a bottle of megabite chilli sauce (imported from P'town because York is severely lacking in good sauces from the local takeaways. Or any takeaway that I've found so far. Good for when you want fish and chips at midnight though.)
a bottle of jalapeno sauce from Aldi
      Chilli jam
      Curry paste, hot
      marmalade
      butter
5-6 slices of ham, presmably consumed during my absense and now gone (if not then it should be)
      mangetout
munchbunch yogurts, about a week out of date
possibly the remains of a jar of jalapenos belonging to Jay, though I think that was used up and discarded a while ago.

Christ, that is a ridiculous amount of hot condiments. And a miniscule amount of food.

Mushrooms. Or avocado. Though that was more because I tried it when I was younger and it didn't taste as I'd expected it to. It took me by surprise more than anything, perhaps I need to get over that and try it again.

      Oh, of course!
There is your answer then (thanks Meg). I'd just finished Vanity Fair. The realization struck me that I was now able to read anything that I wanted. For pleasure. Reading for enjoyment was something I'd long forgotten as I struggled through the last half of the book. I picked up Winnie-The-Pooh; something light-hearted and easy to read to help me get over my temporary disdain for books. It worked.

I've not been on formspring for a long time, so it's been 2 months since you asked this. I've no idea what this is referring to, sorry.

I'd miss bacon too much. I don't eat meat that often anymore, having lived with vegetarians as well as dating one, but I enjoy the taste of it so much more now I only have it a couple of times a week, sometimes less.

Back. I had a good couple of days off this week, by next weekend I am expecting to feel emotionally exhausted from overworking.
