Hi! sorry it took me sooo long to respond- I've been out of town and formspring wouldn't let me answer questions from my phone. I generally wear a 0 or 2 across the board, the top is a 0. However, I've got to say that the I find the bust line of that top to just be kind of weird- I ended up taking in the straps and it helped me a lot with it. hope that helps!

hmm, not a dumb question esp. given the fact that I don't really know how to answer. I pull the belt through the loop thingy, then I loop the sash around itself and tie a knot of sorts. I feel like that was no help, but its the best I've got, sorry!!

we met at a new years eve party that a friend of mine in law school invited me to. They were sort of friends (in that she was sort of dating his room mate and they went to high school together.)

Aw thanks!! :) I've been to europe several times- I'm actually first generation american and have gone back to visit family memebers all over several times and I lived in italy, rome to be specific, for a month and 2 months on different occasions (one for a school once just kind of for the hell of it.) Other than having been all over italy, I've been to: Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and the UK.

I'm not 100% clear on what you mean. As in do I want to do posts where I ask for feedback, not that often. But do I expect general feedback when I do an outfit post, of course. I don't think I'd put myself out there if I didn't expect some feedback, and I welcome it. Anything specific you wanted to give me feedback on??

I did grow up in Chicago- northwest suburbs. I go back a lot though since my fam and a lot of my childhood friends are still there. I always make sure to pop into oysy sushi for dinner when I manage to get downtown, its super yummy and pretty reasonably priced. 1492 tapas bar is good if I remember correctly too. If you haven't been before there are so many great things to check out downtown (the obvious being wrigley, millennium park, shopping the mag mile, the sears tower- where I haven't seen the new windows that you can walk out on but I hear they are pretty spectacular,) I'd also recommend a boat river/lake architectural tour, they're a fun way to get a glimpse into the rich history of the city while sipping a cocktail on a boat in the sun. Since I never lived in the city as an adult (and I was little miss punk rock as a kid so could only really give you tiny music venues to go to from that era) I'm not great with the going out scene, I just kind of follow my friends where ever they want to be going when I'm out with them since I don't know whats what. Hope that helped, have a great summer in chi-town :)

thanks! I used to, but I've been trying to make myself stop slowly over the past year or so and have managed to stay away completely for 3ish months now. Its just not worth the skin cancer risk. I use l'oreal sublime bronze and sun labs products to get some fake color though. I also do go to the beach a decent amount in the summer.

you know, I do really like chartreuse. I don't know that its my fav color, I don't really know that I have a fav color, but I do tend to be attracted to shades of green and yellow so I guess if asked I'd go with one of them.

I honestly use a set I stole from my mom 5 years ago, I think they are conair. I keep meaning to buy a new one- if I ever get around to it, I'll report back. But I'd say go mid price range, do some research (read reviews) and get a set with a variety of sized curlers. Hope that helps!

I get it 20 feels like a lot. I freak out when I gain 10. it feels like crap to feel to large for your body and you feel uncomfortable in your own skin (at least thats how I am.)

Do you work out? How do you eat? I can't really be of any serious help without knowing that stuff. Fee free to email me at nml723 at gmail dot com if you want me to take a look at your actual habits and tell you how to best change them.
short answer is obvious- eat healthy (to me this means lots of produce, lean protein, complex carbs, with the occasional treats of course,) and work out regularly, but you probably already knew that.

You asked for my perspective. I gave it. I've never been intimidated by a man, and if a male in law school (or anyone for that matter) tried to "out-do" me, I wouldn't really care. I'm a confident person (some would say overconfident) and could care less about petty people trying to showboat in front of me. Additionally, if a man had ever joked in front of me about that I probably would have either given him a serious talking to or laughed in his face and walked away (depending on my relationship with the person.) I also never encountered anything like that from anyone in my time in law school, and would have been shocked if I had. I will note one thing that I probably should have in my initial answer to you though: I'm not a nice, cuddly woman. I tend to be an intimidating person. Pretty much every single one of my friends has at some point told me that they thought either that I was a huge bitch or just a really intimidating person when they met me and I've been told by more than one man my glare is pretty much the scariest thing ever. So if men are treating other women this way, I doubt any of them would have the gaul to even try with me.

Yes I do feel that it is belittling to women to ask what we want to study in law school. How are any different than men in terms of what we want to study? and how should we be? We (both men and women) are all different and all have different goals. All of my friends (both male and female) in law school (and outside of it) have different interests, different things they opt to study and different career goals. I don't see what difference gender should make in this. And I do think that it sets women back to separate us with questions such as yours because it does just that, separate us. Such separation only furthers what sexism remains in our generation. Additionally, I, as a woman, don't want to be separated from men in the business world for the aforementioned reasons so I don't appreciate anything that I perceive furthering such separation.

If you have further questions or feel the need to keep discussing this, feel free to email me (nml723 at gmail dot com,) but I won't be responding on formspring anymore as I'm not trying to turn my account into some sort of debate on feminism in law.

No I don't no offense to whoever asked this, but I can't even fathom being a woman of my generation and feeling that way. I've never been intimidated by a man in my life and I doubt I ever will be. What century do you live in? The other women in law school are just like other women everywhere else, they are all different and all have different goals both in life and in terms of career path. To assume that women all want to practice similar fields of law is practically offensive to me. Sorry if this response was, in a word, bitchy. But, these questions really bothered me as they seemed to seek to stereotype women in law, and in general and it REALLY bothered me that you could even think that a woman today would be intimidated by a man, just because he's a man.

I'm not going to for the next month or so as the closet space in my current apartment is shameful and I actually rely on two of those ikea hanging racks to supplement the space, but when i move in july I'll definetly snap some photos1

Several reasons: 1) I want to eventually own and manage my own investment properties, and I'd like to handle my own legal work in relation to any future business venture. 2) because I have no idea where my career will take me down the road so it would pretty stupid to finish law school and not actually finish the process, just in case it does come in handy. 3) On a similar vein as #2, I spent three years in law school, whats another 3 months?

thanks! I'll actually be posting a how to on the blog sometime this week because so many people ask me. but heres the short version: not much. I let is air dry sometimes, sometimes I blow dry. and I use hot rollers, no product other than a little bit of hairspray. I use 10-12 med/large ish hot rollers and keep them in while i get ready/eat breakfast in the morning which I'd guess is about a half hour. I take out the rollers and separate the curls a bit and spray to set. and thats it.
