A man told me: You are absolutely out of your tree. And I said: Yes and I'm awfully sad about it, it was really a very nice tree.

Thank you for such a great mixtape! So excited to see Kid Sister on there. I just Facebook friended you so don't be alarmed and think I'm a creep! xo Melanie

Oh man no problem, I'm glad you like it! I love Kid Sister! I'm trying to see if I can see her up in NYC with Rusko at Webster Hall. Some friends of mine will be up there at there at the same time so I'm going to use my persuasiveness to convince them to go haha. I accepted it! I'm the biggest creep around so there's no way I'd think you are a creep! (:

yesterday

I assume you saw Vampire Weekend and Ezra's sexiness on SNL last night? They did a great job...

Oh god yes, the only reason I watched it! I was drooling over what a babe Ezra is. They did a fantastic job, and I was really excited about the song choices. Giving Up The Gun sounded great though it did feel a little empty with out Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal and Lil Jon haha.

Outliars or Outliers?

heyy isnt that toy camera thing an apple program, or so i think, how did you get it by alyssa123

I don't believe so. I know that they have two versions one for Macs and one for PCs but I don't believe it's created by Apple. I purchased it through this site: http://www.pentacom.jp/pentacom/toycamera_analogcolor/

I've been using it for a couple months now with no errors or issues on my laptop....

mac or pc?

I've never really used a Mac aside from the basics. I've had PCs my whole life. Personally I feel like Macs are more trendy than anything. I mean I think that for graphic designers, artists, etc they are extremely useful but other than that people buy it because of the brand associated with it and the overall aesthetic appearance not necessarily the capabilities of the product. (I actually read a whole book about how people are typically drawn to elegant things instead of practical things Macs being an example).
That being said I'm perfectly content with my little HP PC laptop affectionately known as Henry or as I like to call him Hen-wa. (Though I would love to have some variation of Photobooth simply because I'm shamelessly vain.)

I love your photos. What kind of camera do you use? (Sorry if you've already been asked this! You probably have, but I didn't see it anywhere on your tumblr page or past formsprings.)

Haha I don't think it's been asked actually! And if so I can't remember.....
But thanks! The cameras I use are a Canon Rebel XT (Digital Photos), Canon A2E (Film), and various disposable cameras I come across.
I usually use Photoshop CS for any editing and most recently this Japanese program I stumbled upon called Toy Camera Analog. It's extremely simple to use and make really realistic awesome vintage film effects. (:

Your blog is such a pick and mix of brilliance.. i just thought you needed to know :)the fact that i live on the other side of the earth and can still appreciate this means you must be doing something right

Oh wow, that is so kind of you to say! I often wonder why so many people follow me! haha I feel like I just post lots of silly little things that I come across or that happen to me that I find amusing so I'm usually perplexed at why anyone else would find it the least bit interesting.
But I'm so glad that you like it! Hopefully you'll continue to enjoy the things I post in the future!

Not really a question, but a comment - Jonsi is going on tour soon :) I thought you should know. The closest it's coming is Philadelphia in early May.

I don't really go to shows.... haha Like I feel really awkward at them and I don't know exactly what do to do at them.... they make me incredibly nervous haha. I've only going to a handful that I knew friends would be at and that I'd get to see people I haven't seen in a while. I'm just terribly awkward haha. But I do love Jonsi a lot. I can't wait for his album to be released, the two songs I have are so gorgeous. (Thanks for the heads up though! (: )

That sounds like a lovely wee place to be situated! I'd really love to travel round America, I want to see all the world to be honest! :P I live just outside Glasgow, so im on the west coast of Scotland. Where have you travelled so far? Donna x

It is pretty nice to be able to live around so many nice cities, however I prefer beaches and countrysides usually haha. I want to see the world too! I have lived in America and have only seen a fraction of it! I haven't traveled much at all sadly, I've only been to South America and various places around the U.S. And I know exactly where Glasgow is! Where have you gone so far?! (:

any collection of translated short stories by chekhov. some are only a few pages, others- basically novellas, & almost all complicated, moving, aching. this was nabokov's favorite: http://chekhov2.tripod.com/197.htm "A Joke" & "Ionitch" are 2 of my favs.

Ah I love short stories, I'll definitely grab one of his collections. (: (: Thank you!

Do you listen to Samantha James? I think you might enjoy her.... By the way, I'm not sure if you have seen the movie "The Road," but if you have not, I recommend you read the novel. It is terribly moving. :)

I've never heard of her! I'll have to listen to some of her stuff. And I haven't heard of that movie either! I'll look into the book. Thanks!! (: (:

I don't know about that. I think awkward would be more of an appropriate description. haha

Wow amazing choice, dig your literary taste! I especially agree with Lolita, the beginning lines will stay with me forever: "Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul.". What lines from a book would you consider the most memorable? by zenofblogging

Haha oh wow thanks!

I have lots of favorites... I actually had to grab my copy off the shelf and leaf through it a bit. (I write and underline in my books a lot, one of the reasons I prefer to own a copy.)

My favorite quotes are:

"I looked and looked at her, and I know, as clearly as I know I will die, that I loved her more than anything I had ever seen or imagined on earth. She could fade and wither - I didn't care. I would still go mad with tenderness at the mere sight of her face."
&
"It was love at first sight, at last sight, at ever and ever sight."

Hey wanted to say I really dig your blog, love the layout, it's one of the best I've seen on Tumblr. And you got amazing music taste (Super High compatibility with me on Last.fm lol) Anyways, which book had the greatest impact on your life? by zenofblogging

Oh wow! Thank you.
I'm glad you like the layout however I can't take all the credit for that! haa I simply used Mirza's (http://www.ziked.com/) Cliche Theme (ironic no?), and made some alternations. I liked the theme to begin with but I wanted to kind of make it more simplistic. It's funny you bring that up because I've been going back and forth on changing it. I've had the same theme for about 2 years now! (Aside from color changes, background changes...etc) But I have yet to find one that I can customize to my liking as easily as this one.

Haha wow again! I feel like I listen to such odd music since I listen to a little bit of everything and go through weird music listening habits haha. But that's awesome! Glad we listen to some of the same things! That means you've got great taste too! (:

Hmmm that's a hard one, I feel like I haven't even made a dent in literary works of the world yet.... some of my favorite books (currently) are: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov (the way he writes about something as simple as Dolores drinking a Coca Cola is extremely poetic), 1984 by George Orwell (it's insane what insight he had at his time, how life is scarily paralleling his novel at a rapid pace), House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski (I loved the unconventional style of writing he used and how the book was laid out designed to invoke the same response from the reader that the characters were feeling at that point in the novel), The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (an obvious choice, but this book sincerely set the bar high for any other book out there), And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (one of the first real mystery novels I read that blew my mind, Agatha is definitely one of my favorite writers), The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (I still have a couple more chapters to get through before I finish it but it's absolutely amazing).

There are probably hundreds more! I can't think of at the moment but those books are up there with the best of the best in my book. (:

Hey, I just seen one of your posts there and you were chatting about Scotland. Im from good ole Scotland and it is beautiful! :) You really should visit and check out the scenery at some point! Where abouts in the USA are you from? Donna x

Oh my gosh! I'm very jealous. Scotland is definitely one of the places I want to see before I die. I spend hours looking of photos of it haha. (:

I'm from Maryland on the East Coast. It's rather nice because it's right between Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City! However right now it hasn't been too much fun since we've been hit with over 4 feet of snow! It's crazy!

Where in Scotland do you live?! (:
