hmm i personally love SVA, its an awesome school to go to if you are truly serious about art because all of the teachers here work in the business. the people here are mostly awesome and if you push yourself you will make amazing friends and plus its in the city so who doesn't love that? um as far as making it... dont slack of (pot calling the kettle black :l ), ask for as much money as you can, get used to not sleeping, wear alot of black...
aside from the silly stuff make sure you really do love what you are doing because you will be getting alot of work and if you arent in love with it... its gonna be really easy to slack of and just not give a shit and just work from assignment to assignment which is not a fun environment to place yourself in for four years.

um well I’ve had it since I was three so I COULD say that I’m used to the stares, people talking behind my back and around me about it, and asking me questions about it but I don’t like to lie, its something really hard to get used to but people will keep on doing it so I mean I have no other choice but to get used to it answer questions when I can and just move on with my life.
If one day you get a pimple there’s always medication that you could get and It’ll go away in a week or two right? but with vitiligo I’ve been trying medication ever since it came out and 16 years later maybe 10 percent has gone away?
Its not necessarily that I’m embarrassed by it, it would be like me saying I’m embarrassed I’m a girl or that I’m Dominican its useless cause its not gonna change anything and I was made to be this way, I just sometimes wish it would go away. There are days when I feel pretty and days when I feel ugly because of it but its not something I wish I never got because its made me who I am today and I guess I have tough skin because of it.
But yeah in a nutshell it bothers me at times and at other times I get annoyed by the stares and stuff but its me and I’m taking it one day at a time.
