Valve
Valve gave more support; they are building the engine for DotA 2 along with IceFrog.
While Blizzard didn't do much support other than releasing patches for WC3.
True that Blizzard's WC3 is the engine that runs DotA all the time, but from my view, Blizzard isn't treating DotA well. Valve deserves it more.
Wait, are we talking about Blizzard's DOTA here?
If that s the case, it s obvious that Valve will win.
Why? Because every DotA players alive knows that the official continuation of (IceFrog's) DotA is DotA 2 by Valve. We all love IceFrog's DotA.
Maybe Blizzard's DOTA will get some players just like HoN LoL etc. But that won't be as much as DotA 2. -
Thank you very much ^_^
Yes I was a mouse user.
Clean lines and clean coloring with mouse is possible, with this method:
Lineart: Paint Tool Sai - using vector (linework) layer
1. Stroke lines as the sketch goes (it will be really messy, but that s all right).
[ fyi I also do the sketch with mouse, so there s no need to scan traditional sketch and transfer to digital ]
2. Fix the lines point by point, with lots of patience. Until it s perfect.
3. To give the lines different sizes, play with line "pressure". (click on a point, drag left / right to modify its size)
Coloring: Photoshop - using pen tool + [smudge, blur, soft eraser] (for soft shading)
1. Base coloring: Select areas of base colors with pen tool and fill it.
2. Shading: Select (one by one) shading area with pen tool, then fill it. [ About how to use pen tool, there are some tutorials available at DA. About how well to use it, it just needs practice, experience, and observe ]
3. For soft shading, use blur / soft eraser / smudge when needed.
4. Layering: One layer for each base colors, 2 - 3 layers above each of them for shading. Eyes and hair are special case: 5 layers or even more.
The downside of this method are:
- it requires lots of time.
- it requires lots of patience. and I really mean, a lot.
- it eats disk space, and RAM; since it requires lots of layers.
The plus:
- it s possible with mouse!
- it s easily editable later on; since the lineart is vector, and coloring is in separate layers. -
Dungeon Defenders! :D

It depends on my mood, approximately...
sketching: 1 - 5 hours (much thought here: concept, composition, perspective, proportion ...)
lineart: 1 - 3 hours
coloring: 10 hours++
Yeahh I am that slow. @_@ -
I dunno,
I have no experience at all ~_~ -
Enjoy DotA 2 XD

Myself.
I am very grateful to God that I can be myself.
I have plan, activities and responsibilities that I have to do everyday. I don't want to miss even a single day of my life. -
At age 5 or so, I wanted to be a racer.
That s too damn stupid, but well, excuse me, I was 5 that time XD -
traditional: 12 years+ (with some years hiatus due to academics)
