well, i wanted to be a heart surgeon once upon a time. and then i decided that i didn't really want to be in school that long and there were other reasons that changed my mind as well. so basically what happened was when i worked for admissions for bu, i had a girl stay over with me and she wanted to major in OT, so because i had to talk to her about it, i had to research what bu had to offer in that department. i was very pleased with what i saw, researched the opportunities and salary for the job market and i was pleased with that as well. so i decided to go for it, i really enjoyed the intro to OT classes and it seems a good fit.
and then over the summer i really saw what it was like, i worked with a disabled man and worked side by side with his therapists and definitely decided it's what i want to do. :) -
good question, i'd actually just go back to america in theeee, probably 40's or 50's. a lot of times i feel like i dont really fit in with my generation and would rather be really like, classically glamorous. think audrey hepburnish. and i wish that was what was socially accepted as beautiful nowadays, not wearing like 5 pounds of makeup and wearing the lowest cut shirt possible.
