I think "private" is a work in progress, and that's the best way to put it. In all honesty, "public" Ashley is probably what I would hope to be, whereas behind when I'm all alone, I'm trying my best to live up to what I know that I should be. Basically, I try to always put my best foot forward when I'm in public; showing compassion, being respectful, always saying the diplomatic thing etc. When I do 'let my hair down' I am usually more blunt with my opinions, but I also struggle with things like everyone else.

Learning to be independent/an individual....independent from "Friends" etc. I don't worry about always having a crew of girls when I go places, I've learned to walk alone/be an individual.

Probably the 1970s because I am such an activist; but it was also a tough time to be a black feminist. People thought you had to be one or the other. The other would be the 1920s; I would've loved to have met Zora Neal Hurston, Langston etc. (I love 1950s fashion, but I def wldn't have wanted to be black at that time.)

One never suffices for me: so first and foremost, to please God & know that I will hear them say "well done" when my life is over. After that; a happy successful marriage raising healthy God fearing children

hardest question ever: well since Jesus is everywhere I don't have to bring him, so after him...probably an attractive,intellectually stimulating, God fearing, hilarious man (whose single & thinks i'm amazing) lol

Probably twitter ...I wanted to be intellectual and say the New York Times, but that would be a lie, I skim it every morning, but thats like 15 mins, and I'm on twitter for like 2 hrs
