You can resize the pattern after you've pasted it to the page so that it can be a background.
After you've pasted the tone, double-click that new layer on the Layers Palette, to bring up its properties. Then, all you need to do is adjust the scale until it is at the size you want it at. -
Open the Pen Tool Options Palette (Main Menu: Window -> Tool Options).
Then, click the Show Menu button located to the right of the pen's name, and select "Restore Default Settings." -
Check to see if what the layer type is for the panel outlines (sketch or finish). Then, in your export settings, see if that layer type is being exported.

How do I create a character in general? Mostly, I just look at the story I'm working on, and (through trial-and-error) come up with an idea of how the character should look.
If I'm importing an image of said character into Manga Studio, I select File -> Import -> Image File from the main menu. -
That's not much to go on to answer you.
Have you rendered the panel ruler layer? Have you checked the layer type of the panel layer after you've rendered it (sketch or finish)? Have you checked the export page settings to see what layer types will be exported?
That's about all I can suggest. -
It doesn't appear that you can. You can resize and move, but there's no option to rotate.
-
I haven't used the demo version, so I don't know. You'l need to contact Smith Micro to answer your question.
-
Open the Tool Options Palette. On the top of the palette, on the righthand side of the brush title, you'll see the Show Menu button.
Click that, and select Restore Default Settings. That should bring your brushes back. If not, you may need to uninstall and re-install the program. -
If you don't see the "Show Transparent Area" button (located next to the "Show Page Rulers" button on the Page Toolbar, select View -> Show Transparent Area from the Main Menu,
-
Not with a transparent background, no.
You can (depending on your version Manga Studio and Operating system you're running on) export as a layered Photoshop file. From there, you can open the exported file in Photoshop, remove the background layer (making it transparent), and color away. -
You'll have to contact Smith Micro for assistance, there.
-
Check this video I made for more information on importing your work into Manga Studio: http://youtu.be/z4q3LP-EH-c

It's not, really.
The only suggestion I can make is to create a new canvas with the dimensions and resolution you want, copy the finished layer(s) from the original page, and paste & resize the layers on the new page. -
Sorry, but that is a Manga Studio EX feature.
-
The only way I've seen how you can do that is to export your file as a Photoshop (layered) image, opening that file in Photoshop, removing the background layer, and re-saving the file.
You can't natively export a Manga Studio page with a transparent background. -
That's not really much information to go on. I would contact Smith Micro technical support for more assistance.
-
In Version 3? No. That's something they introduced in Version 4.
How I got around that problem was to create a text layer with the font settings I wanted, and then copied/pasted that layer into as many pieces of text as I was going to use. I would then go in and change the dialog on each layer.
Clunky, yes. But it beats having to re-enter the font settings every time. :) -
Yep. Check this video for more information: http://youtu.be/IxBbohUroHQ

From the Main Menu: View -> Show Selection Launcher.
-
Try this: From the Main Menu, select Window -> Arrange Palette -> Initialize Position.
It should reset the palettes to their initial position on the screen.
