Hah, I had a feeling the moment I clicked on the link that it was going to be something like this. =) Love you.

An African or European swallow?

For telling time and knowing when I need to drink more water. If it gets too tight I'm already dehydrated (or putting on weight) depending on the time frame.

I'd have to say it was that time that Cathy Chen gave me a piece of tupperware from her lunch box for my birthday. It was unique and I used it for several years afterward. =)

Generally I put together my own fitness routine because we're not together a lot of the time. I'm helping her get her fitness routine on track and she's seeing some great progress so far. I'm looking forward to working out at least at the same times when I'm at home.

Love Actually, Trading Places, Boondock Saints, The Matrix (first one only, please), and Little Mermaid.

I haven't interviewed anyone in a really long time, but I like the question: when was the last time you shared some knowledge with someone?

My TV, hands down. What little television programming I do watch I watch on my computer. I wonder which my wife would choose? Because she knows we can watch TV shows on the computer she'd lean that way, too. She's nothing if not practical.

For me 2009 was the year that we said goodbye to Kathy. I'll miss Kathy. 2009, not so much.

I can remember what it was like growing up and trying to blend in. Fitting in was more important to me than having my own personality. While I could have probably been more myself around my family - which I'm sure they would have appreciated - switching between mimicking my friends' personalities and behaving like myself would have been too complicated and not entirely unlike living a double life. Good or bad, I would copy their mannerisms, their vernacular (as nonsensical as it got), and probably most damaging of all: their "school sucks" mantra.
It wasn't until I was out of high school and joining the work force did people start taking an interest in who I was. While I still model some of my behavior today after other people, it's usually more deliberate and with the goal of duplicating a particular success they've achieved. At 32, I'll still blend a little with others as a social mechanism - talking about what they like, or mirroring their speech patterns a bit - but not at the cost of my own personality. -
It would be named Marla. She was my best friend when I lived with my Dad after high school.

It's hard to name one person who inspires me. It's more like of a "what would [insert name] do in this situation."
If it's a technical problem, I usually think about Kathy & Jerome. If it's an interpersonal issue, I channel my wife, Ivy. If it's some folks staring at me because I'm knife-and-forking a cheese burger somewhere, I pretend I'm Kris and glare at them like I'd prefer to stab them with my dining accouterments. -
My favorite quote from the 1999 movie, Blast from the Past:
"[It] turns out, his short and simple definition of a lady or a gentleman is, someone who always tries to make sure the people around him or her are as comfortable as possible."
I think of this whenever I talk to someone. What can I do (or not do) that will make this individual the most comfortable? I think that's what I'm exceptionally good at. -
I don't like to speak ill of anyone, but I'll throw Lindsay Lohan's name out there. Sorry if you dig her - she's just not my kind of crazy.
-
I have to say I'm not much of a snacker. Not because I don't like snacks but because I don't typically shop for them so I don't have them around.
When I'm on the road I'll make a point of buying some almonds to get me from breakfast to lunch, but that's about it.
