A classmate in high school knew the producers of MTV's My Super Sweet 16, and decided to have MTV come and film his Sweet 16. He was on the Varsity Volleyball team and invited all of us to go to his party where we got interviewed and filmed. Long story short, I ended up on MTV for a couple seconds. =)

Ooh this was a tough one.

A while back I stumbled across a little comic strip that reminded me how tiny our life span is: http://i.imgur.com/TZ9Sk.jpg

I think the biggest lesson I've learned this year and one that I've come to value highly is that life is short, and to make the most out of it you need to remember to be fearless, to be bold when approaching situations, and to dream as big as you can and then work to achieve it. I’ve realized how much fear has been such an influence on my life and my actions and worked to remove it. Take a moment and think about how fears have influenced your life decisions? Have they caused you any regrets?

I was afraid of running for senate and totally disregarded it my freshman year because I didn’t think I had the support or ability to lead.

I never spoke my mind because I feared my opinions might offend people.

Fear limits your imagination, and if you can’t even imagine achieving your goals, then how are you going to attain them? By being bold, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Face your fear and you will achieve things you’ve never thought were possible.

I did, and I’ve never regretted it. :)
