Hands down the easiest question I have ever been asked - bring on the rabid cats.

In the mountains, for sure. No sand. No brutal heat. The golf courses are a LOT more fun. That's a no-brainer.

There are two schools of thought on this issue:
One idea is that Jeff Tweedy should be playing in the delivery room when the baby is born.
However, there is a growing mentality that it is cruel and unusual to make a baby wait 9 months to hear music from such a genius. Rather, you should pretty much have Jeff Tweedy playing non-stop throughout the pregnancy.
I won't get into Jeff Tweedy's involvement in conception.
But the short answer is: It's never too early for some Jeff Tweedy. -
Thank God I don't have to choose!
This is basically an impossible question. But if I had to pick one to take a stance on, I'd choose to have my wife experience his unconditional love through me.
I only choose that one because of the IMMENSE weight the Bible puts on marriage - the whole point of marriage is to depict Jesus' love for the church. I mean, read Ephesians 5 and see how closely Paul links the two. The whole time he's talking explicitly about marriage, but then he closes with "This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church." That's huge.
Couple that with our culture's total disorientation when it comes to romance and marriage - we are like children who can't find their parents so we just spin in circles until we're so dizzy we can't stand up - I think the weightier issue here would be showing that Gospel picture through my marriage. -
I'm terrible at anything that requires me to pick on "favorite" or "best". So, two days:
1) For my dad's 50th birthday, our family rented a cabin near Blue Ridge, GA. My brothers and I took my dad golfing at an amazing mountain course. Just being out there on the course with those guys was amazing - definitely a hightlight of the past 6 months.
2) Kelly and I went to Nashville with our friends the Hankins. We piddled around the city for a while Saturday morning, then found ourselves at "Robert's Western World" on Broadway, listening to some of the most incredible live music I've ever heard. We sat there for about 7 hours - and I could have stayed longer. It was amazing! -
Great question. I have no idea.
I don't have a 10-year plan right now. There are a million things I want to be doing in 10 years, but which ones of them are practical or realistic, I couldn't tell you.
I'll blog about this as well probably, but to give you a glimpse into my thinking right now: I don't know what God's will or plan for me is in terms of vocation or calling. But I know that all over the Bible there are little statements like, "Pray without ceasing, giving thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." there are others.
So I guess my 10-year plan is to try to live out all those things that God has explicitly said, "This is my will!" I imagine that will make my specific vocational direction a bit clearer. -
Alright - you asked for it...
My answer is probably way more than you bargained for (considering it's at least 3 full blog posts). You can find the first one here:

That's easy if I can choose two!
"The Great Neglected Disease" with Dr. Chris Hall. We studied all kinds of diseases and parasites and how they spread, etc. Great material with a prof who loves what he does.
Composition & Arranging with Dr. Stan Pethel. Hands down my favorite music class. We had to write our own compositions and arrangements of tunes (thus the name) - which is why I wanted to be a music major in the first place. -
Soooo many!
Probably the biggest is not having my brothers standing with me at my wedding. I wouldn't have taken any of my other groomsmen away, but my brothers should have been by my side on that platform.

On fire? Call a fireman! And whatever else you do, DON'T drink a lot of pickle juice. It will only complicate the situation. Listen to the voice of experience...

Too many! Keep that between us. My "conscience" will surely condemn me if she finds out...

I love my wife and I love my dog and I love thai food. Those are three different kinds of "love". In other words, I am a man of distinctions.
