Currently, we're doing pretty good with about $16,000 in the 2012 account. :)

We can't speak for the other classes, but everyone should be on different levels. Keep in mind that technically the main events we are fundraising for are Junior Prom (about $20,000, give or take a few thousand) and Senior Prom (on a boat = more expensive, usually $70,000 to $80,000). That's a broad estimate, and is subject to change.

Obviously, that's a lot of money! We need to pay a down payment of a few thousand dollars by the end of this (sophomore) year for Junior prom, and likewise (but a bigger amount!) at the end of junior year for Senior prom. We pay for prom partly with the money we already have, and the rest is made from bids sold to those attending the event (which is why it is good to fundraise! The more money we start out with = cheaper bids for you!)

Anyway, we ended with about $7,800 last year, and our goal is to end sophomore year with about $16,000 to $17,000 (and that's after we pay a down payment for prom).
