What are you looking to make with the miso paste? If you're using it as a flavor enhancer, you could try 2 tsp anchovies paste plus 1 tsp of tahini for every 1.5 tblsp of miso paste (according to Cooking Light).

If you want to make miso soup, Eden Foods has a GF version: http://www.edenfoods.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=107840. You might be able to also use the Eden Foods option for whatever you are making. Experiment and keep me posted! :)

There are many options in Fairfield County. I'm not sure which town you are in, but in Stamford you can buy several corn & rice varieties at Fairway. They sell Rienzi gluten-free pasta, which is a corn & rice blend as well as Orgran corn & rice pasta. Fratelli's Market in Stamford sells Le Veneziane (my favorite) as well as Bi-Aglut pastas. They are expensive, but taste great. You can also find frozen RP's Pasta there, which is a fresh gluten-free pasta - the linguine is my favorite. Some Whole Foods stores carry corn & rice blend pastas, but in general Fairway is your best bet. If you're near New Canaan, there is a fantastic little health food store called Healthfare that sells an amazing assortment of gluten-free products. Good luck!
