I initially invested several thousand dollars. I purchased my first dslr camera and bought 3 L lenses and other various camera equipment. It was definitely a huge risk but I would definitely do it again in a heart beat.

Yes, of course! Right now since it's winter I don't work on Saturdays & Sundays. In the summertime I try to take Mondays off.

I'm taking Master Classes from Sarah Petty, Jerry D, and Sal Cincotta! Pretty excited for those.
I'm also going the day before for a marketing section with Mische Graf, Sandy Puc, Matt Hill.. and that should be amazing too.
There are plenty also plenty of platform classes I'm sure I'll be attending. There are so many great classes being offered this year and I'm still deciding on which ones I really want to see.
As for parties... The only parties I'm definitely attending are:

the Pool Party Monday night.
I hear the [b]school party is going to be great too but I haven't bought my ticket yet. There are a few trash the dress sessions which I'm really tempted to go to as well. I know a lot of get togethers won't be announced until the day of so if you're really interested I would recommend following your favorites on twitter. -
Shooting with a shallow dof really helps with this. I'm usually shooting at 2f or lower. Shooting in soft light also helps! :)
Sometimes I DO use TRA's Pro Retouch. I never use it at full strength. Typically I set it on a very, very light opacity (15% or so). That's about it! -
