Lets start with do I even believe in love? Yes, I do, I believe that love is an innate feeling that comes from some goodness only knows where that slams into you and you're helpless to resist it, be it for your parents (unconditional love), your best friends (where the love tends to sneaks up on you til you realise you're gonna be stuck with those people for the rest of your life) or for a partner (where the love is so great is scares you shitless and you're too afraid to put your heart on your sleeve and tell them)
I don't believe love can conquer all, I tried that once with someone and it left me very broken and them just as they were, ho hum. Love is strong, but it's not a universal band aid, sometimes it blinds you to the extent where technically you should've given up years ago but you just can't see how fucked the situation really is.
And I don't believe there's only one person for us all. No one person can encompass all that a person needs from a relationship because no one is perfect, so I believe that yeh, you can fall in love with more than one person because you can love them for so many different reasons and they can fulfill parts of life in completely different ways from the last person you loved... It just takes a while in between having your heart smooshed and it feeling alright enough to love again to find the next person... -
