Thanks :) I am perpetually on a budget so I shop at flea markets or thrift places like Oakham Market in Ann siang hill cos you get one of a kind clothes at a steal. Dresses from blogshops/ far east/ kissjane. Basics and casuals from cotton on and h&m.

Not sure of all the people who got it. You should ask Sarah yourself!

Haha well I started off wearing work attire like pencil skirts and black pants and collared tops but got so sick of it I just reverted to wearing whatever I like. (esp since I'm out all the time, need to be comfortable to walk around)

Yup I do, anytime I want actually. Just need 1 days notice.

First shared byline was on the Lai Shimun scandal, then another one about bathtub volunteerism in Singapore, plus sidebar which I wrote. I think my first standalone byline was on excuse slips given out by SMRT during MRT breakdowns? Oh dear time to check out my files.

I emailed a contact my college counsellor gave me with my resume.

It's been an area I've always been interested in. I like the fact that it keeps me on my toes and keeps me thinking, also that it allows me to meet the most amazing people. But it has it's horrendous days too, when everything goes wrong and people avoid you like the plague. I... don't stare at the screen that much cos I'm always being sent out haha.

I was... But I joined way too late and I didn't perform well enough :/ haha did you work there last time??

Till 30 June, and the hours are technically from 10-6 but I haven't gone home before sunrise since... 3 months ago.

There's Sarah Giam and Anna Lee there too. Sarah and I are at Straits Times. Sarah's Home, I'm Newsdesk which means everywhere but I usually do Prime, and Anna's in business times.

There are a couple of us now, scattered across the various papers. About 4?

I sent my resume to the email I told you below. Then I went for writing test, and interview.

Haha I am interning at SPH now. I basically help to write stories, do research for the other journalists (like call up people, go down to the scene/event to get quotes, do polling), pitch my own stories and if they're interesting I get to research on them and write them. It's a busy job but it's a good experience. You can try emailing eseow@sph.com.sg?

Oh sorry I just saw this! Well I never was very good at poetry to begin with, not the best person to ask. Try using SPECS and SLIMS (subject matter, purpose, emotion, craftsmanship, structure language imagery movement sound)
